Night to remember (Zane x Kiki)

All he wanted to do was stay with her. The way her hair shined. The look in her eyes when she talked about her animals.

She reached a part of him that no one but Zane had the key to.

He didnt know how but she stole the key to his heart.

He cleared his throat and she looked up her dark emerald eyes melting any resolve he had of escaping.

He should have left because his father was expecting him but he wanted to stay.

"May . . . May I have this dance?" He asked smiling under his mask.

"Of course" she giggled

Oh how that laugh made him want to melt into her arms. He wanted to hold her and never let go.

But he couldn't.

They both stood up catching some of the other guests attention.

Zane ignored them and held out his hand. She took it her emerald eyes sparkling.

They headed out to the dance floor his hand snaking it's way around her waist while hers took his other hand and neck.

They danced for what seemed to be hours to him. The way her hair swirled as they spun made his heart race.

He couldnt miss the way her eyes sparkled and looked into his. He could feel himself falling. He shouldn't be but he was.

He was going to leave at the end of this night and it would all be over

But in a way he wanted this night. It would be his to remember and cherish.

It would be his one. Magical. Night.

They spun around and around until finally the night ended.

To him it was all a little bittersweet. Him knowing it would end the moment the sun came up. To her it was just one extroidinary night, one that would bring more.

Oh how Zane hated to have to be the one to eventually shatter that dream.

Even if he couldnt keep her because of how much a monster he was he wouldnt be able to because his father would never approve.

They would have to keep it a secret, not that he couldnt keep secrets.

The guests were now going home, Lord aphmau heading after the guard.

He gave his best charming look holding out his hand to her once more.

"Might I offer the beautiful young lady a walk home?" He asked his deep voice growing lighter with affection

"Hehe of course Zane" she smiled her lush pink lips making Zane want to kiss her.

And hearing his name come from those lips made him want the night to go on forever.

He took her hand relishing in the feel of her tiny hand against his much bigger one.

Her barn was a short walk there and Zane couldnt help but wish that it lasted longer.
