It was the dead of night, he couldn't see anything through the clinging darkness that surrounded him. It was an eerie silence and only the faint silhouette of trees stood out.

"Where are youuu~" a deep unnervingly familiar voice sang through the branches of the trees.

He stood on his guard looking around, the voice making him nervous, for some strange reason. He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up, and turned just as it gripped him.

"FoUNd youuuu!" It screeched in his ears as he was thrown backward to ground letting out a yell,as he struggled with it.

It's red saucers stared into his. Laurence terrified of staring into it as he thrashed wildly, trying to rid himself of the icy claws digging into his shoulders. He finally opened his eyes grimacing as he struggled staring up at himself.

Staring up at himself.

It echoed in his head and Laurence suddenly went still staring, his eyes wide and still in terror, focusing on the sight above him. Him. His eyes were gone replaced by glowing circles of red light. Red cracks spread all over his face, as if he were porcelain that had been dropped. It laughed, the terrifying familiarity suddenly making sense. He felt cold chills run down his back and the thing leaned down in his face it's hot breath on Laurence's

"Found you" it whispered it's voice going up and down in a sing song manner it began chanting "Found you, found you, found you, found you"

"Let me go . . ." He whispered his voice shaking "Please let me go . . ."

"Mine" it hissed "All mine mine mine, soul mine, forever."

Laurence gulped shaking his head rapidly his mind beginning to spin "No, no no! LET ME GO!"

"Never! Never, mine, my soul forever!"

It went forward and Laurence screamed terrified the sound ripping from his throat as he shook closing his eyes. He waited and only the silence of the forest was heard. Laurence stopped shaking some as he cautiously opened his eyes sitting up looking around slowly.

The voice came from somewhere else and Laurence shook his head getting up as he ran taking off in a terrified run.

He was stopped when everything went black and he was in front of a mirror. He stared and slowly backed up, terrified at the image he saw staring back at him. Red was shining in his eyes instead of the light baby blue they should have been. Laurence backed up for only a few feet before he was falling that sing song voice cutting through the air as he fell into blackness.

Mine, mine, mine, all mine!

Laurence shot up, his gut clenching as he bent over slightly, gasping for air rapidly, almost gulping it down. He stayed like that for a few minutes, enjoying the cold air searing through his lungs. Finally he took a deep breath shaking his head  looking down.

"Guess they won't leave me alone for long"

He slowly stood up making his way to the bathroom in his room rubbing his eyes sleepily. His finger found the light switch and it was flooded with yellow light, a stark contrast to the dark moonlit light of his room.

He sleepily rubbed his eyes turning on the faucet to run some cold water. He splashed it in his face relieving himself of the cloying sweat that had been stuck to his skin. When he looked back up, he caught a red gleam in the mirror.

Laurence's face turned into a look of weariness, the look making him seem older than he really was as he sighed. His eyes stayed red, glowing even when he shut off the light.

The brunette quietly pulled back the covers curling onto his side, as he piled the covers around him. He spent a while trying to fall asleep eventually doing so, this time sleeping peacefully.

My demons will never go away, not even after all these long, long years.

Lol I love this! Shadow knight Laurence is my fav angsty boi.
This just randomly popped into my head, and I might do a few more.

But anyways enjoy! I might have a preference up later as well! So stay tuned if you can. It'll be an angsty one too.
