{Author's POV}- Yep, that's right. I'm taking over! :)

     Jinxx watched as Jake bowed at the feet of the Matriarch, his mother, feeling his heart shatter.

     "Jake, please. This isn't who you are! She's only using you, you have to fight her!" he begged, praying that Jake would pull through.

     Jake rose to his feet and turned towards Jinnx, an evil grin spread across his lips. "Get him back on that table. I need his magic! Keep the others around, lock them up. They could prove...useful to me," the Matriarch whispered in his ear, grinning. Jake turned to her, nodding his head, before turning back and moving towards Jinxx, taking a fighting stance.

     "Jake...Jake, I'm not going to fight you," he said, backing away from him slowly, his arms raised in surrender.

     "Well, I guess this is going to be hard for you, because I'm going to fight you!" Jake shouted as he charged Jinxx. Jinxx expertly dodged him, pushing Jake into a counter behind him. Jake grunted as he collided forcefully with the counter. He turned back to Jinxx, angry.

     "Jinxx, you have to get out of here. Get home, and figure out how to fix Jake," Andy whispered from a few feet away, where he was taking care of a recovering Ashley.

     "Distract him."

     Andy smiled, and looked at CC and Ashley, passing on the message. Ash and CC each gave him a nod. They knew what they had to do.

     Ashley rose to his feet, still a bit winded from his collision with the counter and fall to the floor, and turned to face Jake. Jake's gaze was trapped on Jinxx-he'd been given orders to take care of Jinxx first, so Ashley didn't matter at the moment in his mind. Ashley charged his friend, knocking him to the ground. He held onto a struggling Jake as hard as he could. "Freeze!" Ashley ordered. He grinned when Jake stopped moving. Slowly, however, Jake began to regain his movement.

     "It works on him because he's less powerful than the Matriarch, but he's still way too powerful. It won't hold long," Jinxx explained. He heard a crash and a screech and turned to see CC wrestling with the Matriarch on the ground.

     "Jinxx, go!" Andy cried.

     Jinxx's eyes widened and he froze, gesturing to the ensuing chaos surrounding them. "What about you guys?!"

     "Jinxx, we'll be fine. Go!" Andy ordered again. Jinxx nodded, and raised his arms above his head, his hands glowing blue. With an image of the factory in his mind, he brought his arms down, and disappeared. Andy smiled, and climbed to his feet, helping CC contain the Matriarch while Jinxx did what he had to do.

{Jinxx's POV}- My time is up. Jinxx's turn now}

     I landed on my feet in the middle of the factory yard, and breathed a sigh of relief as I noticed I was alone. I burst through the factory doors and raced to the basement. I knew the book I needed to get, and the spell I needed to use, I just needed to find the book. After combing through the books on my book cases, I finally found it. I opened the book to the table of contents and scanned through the spells until I found the one I was looking for. I read over the instructions, and realized I would need to be with Jake to do this, and that there was no way he would just sit there while I did what I had to do. Then, I had an idea.

{Andy's POV}- I am really sorry. :/

     CC and I were still struggling with the Matriarch, and we weren't doing very well. Every chance she got, she would hit us with her dark energy, and it was starting to tire me out. CC looked ready to pass out, but he kept on fighting. Like Ashley, his powers didn't work on her. She was way too powerful.
