{Jake's POV}

     It was dark. That was the first thing I noticed when I came to. I could still see, of course, remembering the list of new powers Jinxx had explained.

     The second thing I noticed was the return of the killer headache. I groaned, moving to stand up, but immediately regretting the decision as a wave of dizziness crashed over me. A clinking noise reached my ears, and I looked up to see metal cuffs circling my wrists, each connected to chains that were bolted to the wall. My throat was dry and sore, and my face was itchy. I reached up to my mouth and nose and pulled my hand away, revealing flakes of dried blood.

     "Hello?! Can anybody hear me?!" I shouted into the darkness, my throat screaming in protest at the strain. I coughed painfully before shouting again, "Please! Someone help me!" No answer.

     I sat back against the stone wall with a sigh. Then, I perked up, remembering how to reach Andy in an emergency. I closed my eyes in concentration. Andy, listen. Jinxx and I were out for a walk, and we were attacked by Shadows. I'm in a cell, I don't know where and I don't know where Jinxx is. If you can find us, we could use some help. Hurry! I prayed he got the message.

     "Well, well. Look who's finally awake! Welcome, Mourner!" A voice said from the darkness, making me jump.

     "Who are you?!" I shouted.

     "Ooh! Well, there's no need to shout, my boy! I assure you, I can hear you loud and clear!" The voice said. It was female, and very cheery, almost annoyingly.

     "Who are you?!" I asked again, my anger growing. I heard a voice, but could see no person in the room surrounding me. I was alone. Suddenly, a swirl of shadows appeared on the other side of the bars, startling me. A figure formed, I examined the new person in the room, if person was the word. A woman in a red robe with a golden, horned hood stood on the other side of the bars. Her skin was deathly pale, her eyes big, round, and completely black. Black blood covered her lips, and dribbled down her chin.

     "You can call me, The Matriarch. It is an absolute honor to finally meet you, Mourner! It's always nice to meet other children of the Darkness!" She said, leaning up against the bars and smiling at me.

     "I'm no Child of the Darkness. Let me out of here!" I ordered.

     "All in due time, my dear boy. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to make a quick trip to visit your little boyfriend!" She said, turning and walking away.

     "Jinxx?! Leave him alone! I...I'll do anything, please! Just leave him alone!" I pleaded.

      She turned back to me, a smirk on her face. "Do not worry. No harm will come to him," She said, before disappearing in a cloud of shadows, and I was alone. I sat back, taking a few deep breaths.

     Andy...her name is the Matriarch. I think she's going to hurt Jinxx. Please, you guys have to hurry!

     "Please...hurry."

{Andy's POV}

     Ash and I had gone to sleep. That's how I knew it was a dream, I remembered going to sleep. Still, I followed the sound of Jake's voice, until I could see him. "Jake?" I asked. It was just the two of us, in my mind. Dried blood stained his nose and lips.

     "What happened to you? Where are we?" I asked, looking around at the cell he was lying in. He didn't respond, didn't even look up. He couldn't hear me. That was odd, I could usually communicate with the people I saw in my visions, especially if we were connected like the five of us.
