Steve would often visit Bucky's grave just to talk. The casket didn't have a body in it, given the fact that the body of James Buchanan Barnes was never found. Or so they thought.
Steve walked to Bucky's grave, and sat down in front of it. He read the words on the stone, bowing his head.
Sargent James Buchanan Barnes
Bucky
A loving brother, soldier, son and friend.
A good man.
The date of his death was never posted on the stone, because no body knew if he died whilst falling, or if he died a couple days later from the cold. Steve opened his mouth, not knowing that the man who he was talking to, was just behind a tree, listening.
"Hey, Buck. So I normally just talk about what's been going on in this insane world, but I wanted to talk to you about her. I've met someone; she's brilliant. I think you and her would get along greatly. Her names [name], she's kind, funny, smart and beautiful. She's Tony Stark's little sister." Steve said.
Bucky bowed his head, knowing that he was the one who had killed her parents.
"They are so close. There's not a thing the two don't do together. He's really protective over her, so it took me forever to convince him that I would never hurt her. I – uh – I love her more then I loved Peggy." Steve breathed a sad laugh, "I never thought I would say that. I introduced her to Peg, Peggy loved her. She thought she was perfect for me. I'm gonna bring her tomorrow so you can meet her. Same time as today." Steve said.
Bucky made a mental note to show up the next day at the same time so he could see you.
"Um, when we first met, she – uh – she called me 'captain tight pants' but I couldn't bring myself to be angry at her." Steve said. Bucky had to hold back a laugh, "I want to spend my life with her. She means a lot to me, Buck. Just the thought of anyone else touching her makes me want to – ugh – I don't know, just do something very un pleasant to them." Steve chuckled, his fist clenching.
"Well, I'm going to come by tomorrow, Sarge. I'll bring her. She said she wanted to say something to you. She want's you to approve of her. Oh, and one thing. She's a mutant, she can read minds, make things with her mind, and move things with her mind. It's amazing really. Well, I got to go. Um – I – I love ya, Buck." He said shaking his head and walking off.
When you were brought to Bucky's grave. You immediately sensed a presence that wasn't you or Steve. You smiled, thinking it was Bucky.
Steve sat down in front of the grave, and gripped your hips, bringing you into his lap. "Hi, Buck. This is (name)" Steve said kissing the back of your head.
Bucky watched as you got comfortable in his lap. He right away realized that this woman was absolutely gorgeous. "Hi, Bucky. I know that you used to take care of Steve and keep him safe and not bruised, and I am so thankful for that. I hope that your okay with me taking care of this giant weirdo, and keeping him happy and safe. I can't keep him from getting bruised due to the fact that he goes on missions." you chuckled softly, leaning up and pressing your lips to his jaw.
He smiled softly, closing his eyes as you pressed your lips to his jaw. "I hope your okay with our strange relationship." you giggled. "Baby, I wouldn't call out relationship strange. Actually, yes I would." he laughed. You chuckled and threw your head back onto his shoulder.
He pressed his hand flat against your stomach as you chuckled softly. "I love Steve, and I know you did to. I would have loved to meet you, I don't know if you would have loved to meet me, but ya know, hi." you giggled. Steve laughed softly, "I'm sure Bucky would've loved to meet you." You smiled up at him, "I've got a doctors appointment, so I'll see ya back at the tower, I love you, and cya Buck." you smiled. "Love you to, darling." Steve replied.
"She's perfect, buck." Steve said to the grave when you were out of sight.
