As Bree foreseen the doppelganger brought more problems than she could ever solve, the fact that she looked the same as Tatia was the problem number one.
Both Elijah and Niklaus fell in love with her.
She only loved Elijah and that was the second problem, Niklaus didn't like a no as an answer and because of that he decided to kill her whole family thinking to make her a favor since they were the ones who dared to shun her, he knew what it felt like.
It was horrible, having to run from your own father, even if he wasn't your biological father, Mikael was the man who raised him, if we can call it that.
It turned out that she still cared for her family so killing them only made her angry and more in love with Elijah and that was the second problem.
"Good job father" Bree said with sarcasm, she knew her father didn't like it when she acted like that but this time he deserved it.
He didn't have the time to answer and shout at his daughter because she had already run away knowing her mistake.
He discovered he wasn't angry though, he knew she was right and even if she wasn't he could never get angry with Bree, he'd get angry with everyone, even Amy sometimes but Bree was his princess and she wouldn't be touched by anyone.
Of course if she deserved a rebuke because she did something wrong he would rebuke her, even when she was little, she never got into too much trouble, partially because she was a very good child partially because Klaus loved his daughter too much and he just couldn't get angry, he was going to be as better than his father as he could be.
The point is that he regretted killing Katerina's family but now he couldn't do anything to change that, he had to accept that he made a mistake.
The only thing now was to find a way to kill her and Elijah was in love with her and he couldn't ask Elijah to sacrifice his love, in the other hand he had all eternity to fall in love again and she would have died sooner or later anyways and Elijah knew that.
Klaus had to think of a plan and it had to be a hell good one because something that Katerina didn't lack was noticing details and the ability of finding out plans.
She was also very good at escaping so he had to think of the littlest detail.

Everything was ready for the ritual, Klaus had everything she needed to free himself, his daughter and her best friend from the curse that blocked the wolf nature they had.
Everything was going to change.
But of course something had to go wrong.
It had been too easy.
Elijah was so in love with Katerina he told her Klaus's plan.
Katerina ran away.
It had been 27 days since they started chasing after her, the whole family was after her, everyone but Finn who was sleeping in a coffin for centuries because he was too boring according to Klaus.
It was the 6 of them and only one Katerina who was also human against six original vampires and yet she managed to escape.
It was also true that she had two vampires who were protecting her but they were still in great advantage and yet the girl was like evaporated water in the air, impossible to find.
Bree was furious and Klaus was gone mad, out of his mind, the only thing that could eventually calm him down was seeing Katerina dead.
It took them about a year to find her but what they found wasn't what they expected.
In the end Katerina Petrova the innocent girl who lost everything and everyone won, she turned into a vampire and doing that her doppelgänger blood was as good as non existent.
Klaus was so mad he actually lost his mind and put a dagger in Elijah's chest.
Rebekah cried out in despair
Kol was next.
Bree screamed and ran away, Elijah and Kol were her favourite uncles.
Amy followed her not before looking at Klaus with disappointment painted on her face.
Klaus and Rebekah were left alone.
Rebekah was crying for Elijah.
He was the brother she most loved.
Klaus knew that. Klaus knew he overreacted but what Elijah did on his back was wrong, he was hurt.
He also knew Kol didn't deserve it.
He would have awaken him within the week.
Whenever his Bree and Amy came back.
Before then it was him and Rebekah and she better not complain.
