|Always and Forever|

"Niklaus come here!" An angry Mikael was chasing Niklaus who did nothing wrong but his father was in a very bad mood apparently so Niklaus had to run, he just wanted to spend some time with his daughter but how could he if half of the time he had to make sure his own father did't kill him?
What made him happy was that at the end of the day however the day went Bree was there with him, sleeping in the bed next to him and she was still young enough to call him in the night if a monster was interrupting a dream, she was still young enough to enjoy that little time they had together, he surely couldn't live like that for longer, well he didn't want to but he was forced to. Where could he have gone? Bree was too young to go anywhere far so the best he could do was wait and see when it was the best chance.

"Bree! come here, darling, listen to your grandmother, it's better if you go play with the other children, go to you're friend, Amy, I'll come get you when dinner is ready"
Bree was little but she knew that the real reason why grandmother wanted her to go play with Amy was that she didn't want her to see that grandfather was beating up father until he bleed, for no good reason, she knew that father got beaten up because of her, she knew grandfather didn't like her, she knew grandfather didn't like father too, she also knew why father didn't want to go somewhere far away with her, it was because he thought that she was too little, not ready to leave home and go somewhere far but she was more than ready, aunt Rebekah, uncle Finn, uncle Elijah and uncle Kol would have understood or they would have come with father and Bree and maybe also grandmother would have left grandfather, she knew that they were married but she also knew that grandmother feared grandfather more than she loved her marriage.
She was very smart for a little girl of 6 years old of age.
So she also knew that she had to listen to grandmother and go play with Amy.
Bree loved playing with Amy, they were the same age and lived next to each other and they spent a lot of time together, so much so the people of their village confused them for sisters and they loved to believe that.
They even had sisterhood bracelets which were a symbol of the fact that they would be friends and sisters forever no matter what.
Little did they know that they were about to become real sisters soon.
That night something terrible happened to Amy's parents: like every full moon night they went into the woods and turned into wolves, Amy and Bree knew that because they followed them one night and almost got killed, they got so scared they decided to never talk about it and forget about the matter.
They didn't realize that the same thing might have happened to Amy when she grew up, they were too young to understand it.
That night there had been a fight and some wolves died.
Amy's parents were among those wolves.
Now Mikael Mikaelson knew he was in dept with the neighbours, they were the ones who fought the most for his family to stay in the village when everyone else was contrary to their stay.
Learning that they were dead didn't make him blink an eye but he knew what honor was so he decided to keep their only child in the hope that his granddaughter would make her stay out of house in the fields as long as she could.
Mikael didn't like his granddaughter, she was a girl, she was weak, she was his son Niklaus's daughter after all and nothing good could get out of that boy.
"May the day he was born be damned" he would say every time he would see him.
Yeah, Mikael Mikaelson wasn't a good father.
Or a good person for all that mattered.

It had been one year since Amy moved in with the Mikaelsons and although grateful she was scared of Mikael so she begged Bree to go play outside as long as they could and Bree gladly did.
One night it was a particularly happy night, Mikael hadn't been at home, he went hunting with some friends and so the Mikaelsons had a day off.
Bree couldn't sleep, she got up and woke father up.
"Father wake up please, I can't sleep. Father, please!"
"Bryanne, my love, do you really think that is the way of waking up your poor father?"
"No father, I am sorry father, it's just that, I cannot sleep, can we go outside, father, please?"
"Aaah what wouldn't a father do for his child? Alright, let's go outside."
He got up and got Bree in his arms, she wrapped her legs around her father's waist and her arms around his neck.
Niklaus walked outside trying not to wake anyone up.
"You're starting getting heavy my dear" he said laying Bree down.
"Are you saying I am getting fat, father?" She said laughing.
"No, I am saying you are growing up and that is a good thing for you, for your dear father it means that he's getting old."
Bree laughed again.
"What are you laughing at? Your old father? You cheeky little monkey!"
"Hey! I am not a cheeky monkey!"
"No? I think you are indeed!" He said and they started playing tag until they both got tired and sat on the grass next to each other and looked at the stars until Bree fell asleep on  Nik's lap.
That was all that made Niklaus happy.

*12 years later*
More and more problems with werewolves made Mikael paranoid, he wanted his family to become immortals for one of his sons died and he didn't want to lose anyone else.
Grandmother Esther was a powerful witch and he made her turn them into immortal creatures.
No one knew Niklaus's secret, he himself was a werewolf, therefore it made Bree a werewolf too, Amy was daughter of two werewolves and so she was a werewolf as well.
The only difference between Niklaus and the girls was that by mistake Nik activated the curse.
No one knew that though, not even Nik himself.
That night it was almost full moon night and Esther found the spell that satisfied Mikael's requests and although Esther warned Mikael about the risks he decided to force everyone in his family to be subjects of that spell, the only one who escaped that was Esther for one can't be both vampire and witch.
The turning was a terrible experience for everyone and the consequences were worse, the sun became their enemy, nature became their enemy and the blood lust was unbearable.
During the years they found a way to survive to the sun, they learnt which plants they could touch and which ones were like poison, Mikael found out of Niklaus's lycanthropy problem and made Esther suffocate it, that also made his hate toward the bastard son grow.
Mikael's children and Bree and Amy managed to escape eventually and promised each other that it would have been the 7 of them always and forever.
