(A/N I finished early, so why make you wait. It's been a year, after all. :) )
Everything made sense now. The sirens, the images he saw. The siren with brown hair, the shiny pink scale... He was a siren! But, who was Bill? Where did he fit into all of this? And who, exactly was the owner of those long, brown curls?
The boy shook his head, he just needed to think. Naturally, his thoughts shifted to the ocean, the choppiness of the water. The sound of the ocean. He realized now why the water was so nostalgic for him. Settling his thoughts on one topic, those sirens from the beginning probably were his family. He had forgotten them for reasons unknown, and Bill took advantage of that. Of course, he couldn't be sure of any of this. It was simply speculation. And the large blank in his mind was positively irking. With all the warnings he was told about his captain, you'd think he would've gotten the hint somewhere along the line? He was supposed to be the smart one!
The boy probably should've been fuming with rage, but he found himself feeling downright played. He felt extremely stupid and that made him feel like a fool. All in all, he felt more humiliated than enraged.
There was a cough from afar when Dipper realized there was still someone there with him.
Jeez, couldn't he wait his turn? He was having a very important self revelation.
He was still standing there, looking somewhat interested, but mostly neutral.
"Hi. Having a nice day?" Dipper called out, mimicking the first line Tad used on him.
The man stared, easily breaking the paralyzing spell, "It'll be better once I take care of... whatever you are." he said, flames lighting around his palm.
The boy backed up, looking at the man, then to the flames. He was going to kill him? Just downright?
"Uh..." Dipper paled, trying to keep up a fearless expression, but not having any confidence to back it up.
Tad smiled, before literally appearing in front of his face, grabbing him by the collar and throwing him harshly to the ground. The boy flinched, his ankle and wrist sending sharp sparks of pain from his previous battle. The boy quickly pondered running for the water, but the lack of a functioning ankle bone convinced him otherwise. Dipper groaned, the debris of broken wood and dust clouds left him with some momentary coverage.
How could he win a battle against an all-powerful, fire-wielding demon?
A very good question.
The boy tensed when he made eye contact with Tad. The vibrant hue of violet eyes looked downright cold and heartless. He probably would have preferred Bill's manic yellow eyes instead, but he, unfortunately, was not present.
Wait, he didn't want Bill here! He was supposed to be angry with him!
"Die." Tad said simply, pointing a finger directly at the boy's head, in which the teen paled.
Dipper didn't know what to do at this point. Scrambling as far back as he could till his back met a wall, he sighed. He wasn't willing to plead for his life, this guy probably didn't want to hear it. He looked up in acceptance, if he was going to be murdered here, it was going to be memorable.
"Do it, trash." he spat, eyes narrowed on the captain, "I know you're scared of me." he claimed, attempting to roll his shoulders, but failing painfully.
He laughed, "Fear you?" he asked, looking to the side, "Not at all." he deadpanned.
Out of nowhere, there was a crack, followed by a hiss from his offender.
