IMPORTANT READ THIS FIRST- This chapter is the beginning of a crossover with the book "Hold On Tight" and the character Troy by the amazing TeamTroy (go follow him!). You don't have to read his book to understand but I highly recommend you do for the full experience. It's a great book and explains a lot of Jamie's history in California.

*Jamie's Pov*

It's been two weeks since the accident and Jesse's still in a coma.

I was beginning to lose hope and my situation wasn't getting any better. I haven't been able to go to school because my panic attacks had become worse and more frequent.

I had managed to buy myself some time before I had absolutely had to go back to California.

But time was running out, Jesse hadn't gotten better and I hadn't either, so I accepted defeat.

I finished packing my bags and Zion was waiting for me outside, ready to drive to the airport.

Obviously he offered to go with me and I gladly accepted, knowing I wouldn't be able to face this alone. So our parents informed the school that we would be taking a much needed leave of absence for an indefinite amount of time.

"Is that all you're bringing?" Zion asked noticing I had only two medium sized suitcases with me.

I didn't know how long I was staying and I didn't wanna bring too much, besides I still have some clothes at my old house back in Cali.

"This and my carry on is still upstairs." I answered.

"I'll go get it." He offered and got out of the car to go retrieve it.

He's been really supportive and understanding about this whole thing. He's knows when I need space and when I need him to hold me in his arms, which was often.

Nothing has really happened between us romantically this whole time and I'm grateful for that.

Lord knows I couldn't handle any more confusion.

He came back down with my bag just as I had finished putting both my suitcases in the trunk.

The drive to the airport was long and quiet with the radio off and neither of us talking unless we absolutely had to. We stopped occasionally when I needed a second to breathe or got car sick but we still weren't late for our flight.

We finally got to the busy airport just in time to check in.

"You okay?" Zion asked me for the millionth time since we embarked on this trip.

I didn't find it annoying, he was just concerned about me. I did however find the question unnecessary considering I would only be truly fine when Jesse woke up in perfect health which made this whole trip to my therapist unnecessary.

"Yeah. I'm fine, just a little nervous about going back that's all." I answered.

"Why? What happened to you in California?'' He asked, concern clearly written on his face.

"A lot." I simply replied.

There was no way I could recount the whole experience.

"First call for direct flight to San Francisco, California, Virgin Atlantic, Gate four." A woman on the intercom announced.

"That's us. Are you ready?" Zion asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I sighed.

Hand in hand we walked to hangar gate, already dreading what was to come.
