True Love Part 3 - Fever

"What are you talking about? She can't die!" Wynonna yelled.
"She can. A heart mongrul takes the life essence of the one they possess, little by little the host will have a weakened heart. She will have a huge fever then the fever will break and she will seem fine and then her heart will be so damaged by the revenant that her heart will fail and she will die."
"So what do we do? We want just give up!" Wynonna asked.
"It says in the book that we need to get someone to read Latin and chant an exorcism so that the revenant can come out of Waverly so you can shoot it and send it to hell."
"Only person I know who can chant Latin is Waverly and I'm sure that asshole that's in her will know exactly what is going on and stop her somehow." Wynonna stated.
"There's got to be someone else."
"I think I do but Doc won't like it." Wynonna stated.
"Who?"
"The Stone Witch herself." Wynonna answered.

Back in Nedley's office Nicole was with Waverly as Waverly was coming down with a fever. Nicole was able to get a bowl of cold water and a washcloth and started to wipe Waverly's face. She started to unbutton Waverly's shirt when Waverly stirred.

"Trying to take my shirt off again?"
"You're running a fever, I just want to cool down your chest a little. When this is all over and you're better I would love to take your shirt off." Nicole answered.
"I'm sorry I'm bothering you, I know you have to work."
"Hey you can never bother me. I already told Medley that I'm taking a few days off from work, so I am all yours." Nicole stated.
"Doc told me that you now are a part of Black Badge. I'm glad...I always wanted to tell you what was going on in the town but Dolls wouldn't let me. I never want to keep anything from you."
"Shh, Waverly, it's all right. I understand. You need to rest now and get your fever down." Nicole stated.
"You're bossy."
"You know I'm right, please just rest, I will be here." Nicole stated.
"Okay, Nicole I l..."
Waverly had then passed out from exhaustion.
"I love you too Waverly." Nicole confessed but she knew Waverly didn't hear her.

In the conference room Wynonna had just told Doc that they need to get to the Stone Witch.

"You are sure that there is no other way?"
"Not unless you know Latin. Look I know that you despise her Doc but we need her for Waverly." Wynonna stated.
"I'm very fond of Waverly but how do you know that the witch will even help?"
"I'm going to offer her her freedom as long as she leaves town." Wynonna answered.
"What about the salt? It took away her powers."
"We don't need her powers We just need her to recite a few passages from a book that's all." Wynonna answered.
"We better hurry then Wynonna?"
"Thank you. I just need to tell Nicole we are leaving." Wynonna stated.

In Nedley's office Wynonna popped her head in as she saw Nicole washing Waverly down.

"Haught..."
"Wynonna, anything?" Nicole asked.
"Doc and I are going to get someone who can hopefully help us. What's wrong with Waves?"
"She's got a slight fever. I'm hoping it will break soon. Anything in her research that can help us?" Nicole asked.
"A couple of passages that can get the revenant out. We just need someone to speak Latin to recite it. You don't speak Latin do you?"
"Not since I last checked. She will be all right though right?" Nicole asked.
"..."
"Wynonna? You're not telling me something. What is it?" Nicole asked.
"Dolls said there's a timeframe. We have to save her by tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise..."
"Don't finish that sentence. She is not going to die. She's the strongest person I have ever met. What else did Dolls say?" Nicole asked.
"Her heart can get damaged, high fever. She can feel better and then not the next. Listen Doc and I are going to get someone who can help."
"Please do. I'll stay here with her. I'm not giving up." Nicole stated.
"We aren't giving up either. I've seen you with her. I've seen how happy you make her. Every time she thinks of you she smiles. You are good for her Haught."
"She makes me happy too. I...I love her. I love her and I never got the chance to tell her." Nicole confessed.
"She knows. Doc and I will give you the chance to tell her, don't worry."
"Thanks." Nicole thanked.
"You're welcome. We are going to go now."
"Ok good luck." Nicole stated.
"Thanks we will need it."
Wynonna then left the office and Nicole stated with Waverly.
