Chapter 12: Not A Drill

I sat in my room for awhile alone. I needed to pull myself together.

"Squads Asteady and Xzaver report for capture the flag," the intercom said.

I got up and walked to the locker room. I looked at the others as I put my hand in my locker to grab my helmet. I looked at my hand and noticed that I grabbed my Spartan helmet. I quickly put it away and grabbed my ODST helmet. I got the rest of my armor on and left with the others.

"Remember to follow instructions," the commander said.

"Permission to speak," Tom asked.

"Speak," she said.

"I would like to lead today's mission," he said.

"Granted," she said. Then we left and walked into some capsules.

A few minutes later

When they opened I few to the ground not able to breath. Usually my helmet helps me with being able to breath and all. But I didn't have my Spartan helmet on so it was it different.

We got close to are flag and stopped.

"What's your plan Lasky?" Walter asked.

"Wait," he replied.

She sat there for about 20 minutes when are helmets picked up the enemy.

"Take off your helmets," Tom said taking off his helmet.

"What?" Walter asked.

"I said take off your helmet," Tom said again.

We did what he said and then hid. The other team found the helmets and then he took are chance and shot them. "Raven cover me," Tom said.

"On it," I replied. I ran in front of him and when the flag was almost right in front of us I moved out of the way so that he could get by. He was almost there when he fainted. I ran over to him and picked him up. Kya ran over and grabbed the flag. Then an alarm went off and the game was over. I carried Tom to his room and placed him on his bed. I noticed some things on his deck top. I watched some over the videos on it and felt bad for him. They where all about his brother. Then he woke up.

"Why do you watch these?" I asked.

"Everyone report to the dinning room for dinner," the intercom said before he could reply.

He got up and we left. When we got there I sat next to Kya. We are almost dome eating and I thought about if I should tell them who I really was or not. Again I decided not to tell them. I was walking back to my room when and alarm went off and some one was yelling "THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!"
