Chapter 10: Fast

"Hey I waited to check to see if you where ok. Sorry about Walter," Tom said. He was the one who nocked on the wall.

"Ya I'm fine," I replied.

"I don't mean to be rude but what really did happen to your cheek?" He asked.

"Um...... It was......" I went into a daze just thinking about it.

Flashback

I was 10 when they came. My family was dead. I was all by myself in the house that I lived in. I was hiding in a closet. I could here the aliens talking outside the door. Then one opened the door. It had a sword. The thing was about to kill me was a guy in a suit ran in and killed its friend. The person jumped on the aliens back. The alien tried to shake him off. I was still in it's grip with his sword in his other hand. It swiped up cutting my face in the proses. Then the guy kill the alien. I fell to the floor.

"I'm Master Chef," he said as he picked me off of the ground and into his arms.

"I'm.... I'm Raven," I said. "What was that thing?" I asked.

"Well that was the covadent. Come on let's get you cheek taken care of," he replied. He carried me out and onto a Flacon. He started to clean my face and put a bandaid on it.

End of Flashback

I was pulled out of my flashback from Tom yelling my name. I looked at him and noticed that the others where in the room too.

"Are you ok?" Kya asked.

"I'm.... I'm fine," I said looking down at the floor.

"Everyone report to their rooms for bed," the intercom said.

They all left. But before Tom left he asked,"Are you sure your ok?" I nodded as I walked over to my bed. Then he left.

The next day

I woke up to an alarm. I go up and ran out and into the hallway. My squad was already out there trying to unlock the door to the locker rooms. I ran over and unlocked it with my first try. We ran into the locker room and I went to my locker. I was about to grab my Spartan armor when I remembered that I wasn't getting that armor on. I had to get my ODST armor on. I did it way faster then everyone else.

Then the alarm was turned off and the others gathered in a line next to me. "What's your name?" A girl asked. I'm guess she was the commander of this team.

"Raven Jackson," I replied. She looked at me more closely and then backed off.

"Well she knows how to get ready fast. You all should follow her example," she said. "Later today we well be playing capture the flag again. Mr. Lasky this time you better listen to commands."

Then they left and we all took off are armor. I stood there looking at my Spartan armor.
