Chapter 5: Twins

When the falcon came I helped the girls in. Then Kat pulled me aside,"Why'd you do that for 6?" she asked.

"Because I couldn't let her die," I replied.

"Just next time tell us. We didn't know where you were. Also you didn't answered your communicator," she said.

Then we walked onto the falcon. I had Mary on my lap, Alex was sitting across from me, and Rosalie was on Avalon's lap next to Alex. Next to me was Emile.

"Hey Ava...." I started.

Please don't call me Ava. Just Avalon," Avalon interrupted.

"Sorry, Avalon. How old are you?" I asked.

"18," she answered. "Why do you ask."

"I know the others age. I just wanted to know yours," I replied.

We where flying for awhile. Mary was holding me tight so that she wouldn't fall. I saw the fear in Alex's eyes when I looked over at her. Rosalie was asleep in Avalon's arms.

"Hey Emile, where are we going?" I asked.

"There was a distress call from some troopers not to long ago," he replied. "You girls are going to be able to see some Spartans fight some covadent."

"I don't think they want to but there's no where we can bring them. So your right they will be able to see some Spartans fight covadent," I agreed.

Then I looked down and saw that we where over a field. But looking down was a bad idea. There where two kids surrounded by covadent. I looked at Emile who looked at me. "6 , no. You know that Kat is already mad at you," Emile said.

I unbuckled stood up, put Mary in the seat and buckled her in. "6 don't you dare," Emile said protesting as he tried to unbuckle. Then I jumped. We weren't to far from the ground but far enough that it hurt when I landed on the ground. I stood back up and just remembered that I forgot to grab a shotgun. So I took out by knife and ran over to them. They where all brutes. Why is it always brutes? I jumped on one back and slit it's throat. I snapped the others neck. I was about to get the last when it knocked my knife out of my hand. I had to do hand to hand combat. It threw a punch. I ducked. I stood back up did a round house kick to it's chest. As it was picking it self up I grabbed my knife and cut it's throat.

I looked back at the two kids and noticed that they where twins. "What's your names?" I asked putting my knife away.

"I'm Jackie and this in my twin brother Noah," the girl replied.

"My name is Noble 6. But you can call me Raven," I said taking my helmet off.

"Your human!" they both yelled at the same time.

"Ya did you think that I was one of the covadent? Don't answered that," I replied. "How old are you guys?"

"Where 13," Jackie said.

"Ok just give me a sec," I said. I took my communicator and said,"Noble 6 to anyone."

"6 what did you do again?!" Kat yelled back.

"I saved two more kids. Sorry but I couldn't just let them die," I replied.

"6 start walking. 5 and 4 will be right there," Carter said so that Kat wouldn't be that mad.
