"Fletcher! If you don't give me that book right now I will murder you!"
"Yeah right Adleigh I'd like to see you try!"
This was a normal Saturday morning in the Creed household. Even on her last day in the house before moving to a new apartment her younger brother, Fletcher, managed to aggravate Adleigh as soon as she woke up.
Fletcher held Adleigh's most prized book high up over the flames rising in the fireplace. He had no clue it was a first edition copy of her favorite book Fahrenheit 451.
She thought to herself, 'of course the one day something valuable is at stake there's a fire.'
"Hey Adleigh look!"
Fletcher snapped her out of her thoughts as he tossed the book into the flames. She let out a glass shattering scream and lunged at her brother. He bolted off being chased by his older sister. She tackled him onto his bed and started weeping hardly choking out that the book was rare. It took her 2 years of babysitting money to save up for and now it was demolished. Fletcher didn't know it was that special and automatically felt terrible. Although they fought, they were best friends. He sat up and rubbed her back as she wept into his shirt.
"I really didn't know it was so special to you," he sighed, "Is there anywhere we could possibly find a new one?"
Adleigh looked up at him, tears still brimming in her eyes, and spoke softly, "Maybe online?"
"Yeah, how about we check online."
