Chapter 17

Jeremy

So today I'm gonna talk to Zach. I'm hoping that he'll agree with me and go talk to Hannah.

It's almost 4:30am and I can't sleep, nobody else is awake so why not talk to him now?

I walk down the hall to the third to that room on the left and knock quietly, when no one answers I slowly open the door and walk in.

Zach is sprawled out on his bed with his feet over the side, he's almost to talk for the bed.

I close the door behind me and sit on his bed and gently shale him. "Zach, Zach wake up" I say shaking harder.

He groans after a moment and slowly opens his eyes, "Jeremy?" his voice is raspy. I nod and he sits up "what are you doing here?" he asks rubbing his eyes and yawning.

I sit there for a second before I quickly spit it out, "Ireallyneedyoutotalktohannah!" I whisper yell at him.

He just looks at me "what?" he looks like he just got hit in the face with a pie for no reason.

I sigh "I. Need. You. To. Talk. To. Hannah" I say slower. I just hope he'll listen to me and not kick me out.

He sighs "about what?" he asks getting up and walking around before sitting down.

I just look at him,  'this is gonna be harder than I thought' I think. He probably doesn't have a clue what I'm trying to say.

I sigh and gently start out with the plane, "when I was on the plane with Hannah, we talked a lot and I started having feelings for her" I say. He sighs "dude, you already know we're together" be says annoyed.

I sigh and hold up my hands, "I know, please just listen." I say and he rolls his eyes and gestures me to continue.

I grin and continue "okay, so when we got here I was planning to become her friend, you know talk about home be her shoulder to cry on, but than I say her pictures of you and realized you were here" I sigh and the memory "as soon as I did all of those went away" I state and he just stares at me.

"look Zach I just want you too talk to her but I need to ask you first, can we share Hannah?" I ask

He stands up "share her, how would we share her she's human being!" be yells I stand up and hold me hands up to calm him down.

"I know plenty of people who date two people at once and they all know and agree, hell some people are even married to two people and their okay with it" I say quietly.

I sigh "Zach please, I can't sit here everyday and see her and not be able to..." I pause and try to pick my words carefully. "I just want her to see me as more than a friend, so when I pass her in the hallway I don't have to resist the urge to just give her a quick kiss before walking on".

I wait for him to answer and when he doesn't I continue "if I were the one dating Hannah, wouldn't you do anything to tell her how you feel, to be able to be with the one you love, to get rid of the heartache every time you see her?" I ask with a sliver of hope that he'll agree with me.

He just sighs and drags his hand down his face, "yes, I would, I know how that feels because that happened to me for years." he says quietly "I had to watch her grow up with me and date other guys and I could never tell her how I felt" he says.

He nods "I will help you Jeremy"
