1. When your OC ends up with Harry when they have absolutely no chemistry between them whatsoever. This drives me literally insane, like how are they dating if they don't have chemistry? I don't ship Hinny very much, but they have good chemistry and they work together. It might not be ideal, but J.K Rowling made Hinny a somewhat-believable relationship; it differs greatly on a degree of believability— the believability of relationships completely depends on the eyes of the beholder, but we all know what a terrible relationship looks like. This doesn't drive me crazy because of Hinny, but if there's no chemistry between the OC and Harry, they shouldn't be together! Think this through fanfiction writers!
2. When all Slytherins are pureblood supremists. The answer is, we're not. I'm not a pureblood suprimist and I'm in Slytherin. Andromenda, Albus and Scorpius are also good examples of non-prejudiced Slytherins.
3. When Harry's twin gets into Slytherin without possessing any of the Slytherin traits: ambitiousness, cunningness, and clever. If the twin possesses none of those traits, the twin isn't a Slytherin; the sorting hat made its first mistake, then and there!
4. When all the Harry Potter Characters are homophobic/aphobic/biphobic/panphobic/etc. Come on, seriously?! Maybe Draco and his squad, but neither Harry nor Ron, and certainly not Neville, Luna, or Hermione, would be homophobic. Neville and Luna are the most accepting people in the Harry Potter series because they've been judged so harshly by the other students. Fred and George would be accepting and supportive; only make a few of the characters lgbtq+-phobic, please, for your OC's and your good.
5. When there's incorrect spacing and paragraphs to a point where my eyes hurt while trying to dissect the fanfic. Please, learn some grammar before you write a fanfiction. Please, for everyone's well-being; your fanfiction will be better-received if you try your best you use correct grammar. I know, we all make mistakes, but just try to use proper grammar, for the love of god! I'll make another rant on grammatical errors for another time.
6. When a house elf starts dating a human. Okay, ew! I respect those that ship Lobby (Luna + Dobby) and Hobby (Hermione + Dobby) but it might turn me off of your fanfiction all together if you make the entire fanfiction about their relationship. I do not mean to offend any people who ship these pairs, I promise, I'm just a ranter. This book is highly opinionated; that's just the nature of this book and my personality.
