Jaeden's POV I wake up with my head aching. "AGHHH Maddie!" I groan. "Huh? What's wrong Jaeden? You ok?" She replies walking next to me. "I-I have a really bad headache. I need Advil." "Um ok. I'll be back." Maddie exits leaving me alone in the room. I look around her room and it's beautiful. She has a nice big window, a pretty desk, and her own bathroom. She seemed like a wealthy person. My head stopped hurting and I decided to check my phone. 14 texts from Losers🎈 I open the group chat. Finn: HEY Jack: HIII Chosen: sup Sophia: hello fellow friends Wyatt: why are you guys up at this time? Jeremy: we were bored Sophia: where the heck is Jaeden?? Finn: probably sleeping Wyatt: you're right. He loves his sleep. Jack: I heard his house was burned down by a psycho Chosen: yeah. The dude didn't deserve that. Sophia: he was in San Francisco. I wonder where he is now. Jeremy: maybe he's at a relatives. Finn: he doesn't have relatives in SF or LA, remember?? read 8:48am Then Maddie comes back rushing in with water, food, an ice pack, and Advil. "Ok, I have food, Advil, water, and an ice pack. Lay down." She tells me placing the ice pack on my head. She moves my hair to the side and leaves the ice there. "I don't have a headache anymore Mads." "Jae, just lay down and relax. It's gone now, but it'll come back." "What are we doing today?" I ask. "We're staying home. Your mom has to run a few errands and my mom and dad are at work." "Ok. I'm good now Maddie." I say sitting up. She nods and changes. I change too and go down stairs. We both sit down on the couch and go on our phones. I reply to the group chat. Losers🎈 Jaeden: guys, I'm fine ok? I'm staying at a friend's house. Her family is really nice. Wyatt: oooooh it's a girl's house?? Sophia: spill. Now. Jaeden: well, I met her in SF and we didn't have an uber to drive us home so her family took us home and we spent the night. The next day, after I went to the park with her, I was told that put house burned down so I'm staying with her until my mom can find another job and we can buy a house. Chosen: what's her name?? Jaeden: Maddie Jeremy: nice name Finn: you sure it ain't Maddie Ziegler? Wyatt: FINN SERIOUSLY Finn: sorry. Just clearing it up. Sophia: good job frog face. Jack: is she pretty?😏😏 Chosen: you and Finn are always the people who ruin everything. Jaeden: yeah...she is. Jack: JAE JAE IS GOING CRAY CRAY FOR MADDIEEE. Wyatt:😑 Sophia: you're making this chat awkward for Jaeden. seen by group 9:26am "Are we just gonna sit here and do nothing or...." Maddie says. "Let's go on a walk." I say out of the blue. "Ok. I have a scooter." She says heading into her garage. "Aaaand here! I love this scooter." She hands the scooter to me and we start walking. "Hey, let me take a picture of you and post it." She say grabbing her phone and she takes a picture of me. "I see you're having fun on the scooter. Let's head back, we've gone over 2 blocks." Maddie says laughing. We go back to the house and sit on the couch. Again. Ding I get a notification. Maddie posted the picture of me. I go onto Instagram.
