Maddie's POV
Beep Beep
My alarm goes off. I look over to Jaeden and he's still sleeping. I decide to get up and do whatever I need to do. I pick out a nice little outfit and go downstairs. There was a note on the counter.

Maddie, i already told your mother that I will be going to London for 3 months to work. I'm so sorry for not telling you earlier. I will miss you dearly. Promise me you'll call whenever you can sweetheart. I love you.
Dad

"Good morning Maddie." Jaeden says startling me.
"Woah, I didn't hear you coming down the stairs." I turn around on my toes.
"That was the point. I'm hungry. Feed me." He demands.
"Uh ok. What do you want?" I ask looking through my pantry.
"Anything as long as it's food." He says going on his phone.
"Ok. Scrambled eggs it is." I say starting to make the eggs. I finish making them and give them to Jaeden.
"How do you like them?" I say washing the dishes.
"They're great. I can't believe it's only been 5 days ever since I've met you." He says quickly finishing his eggs.
"Yeah, time flies fast." I say sitting down next to him.
"Good morning kiddos. I see you two like to wake up early." Angela says grabbing her purse.
"Where are you going?" We ask.
"Well, I'm trying to find a job so I can pay Emily for letting us stay here. It will be a while until I can make enough money for us to buy a house." She says putting on her shoes. "Bye guys!"
"Bye!"
"Where's your mom?" Jaeden asks.
"Well, she's working and won't be home 'till late. She always works so I'm home alone all the time." I tell him.
"You have me now!" He says. "Let's go upstairs." Jaeden grabs my arm and drags me to my room. I take a seat at my desk and Jaeden sits on my bed. We both take out our phones.
Jaeden's POV
I sit on Maddie's bed and I get a text from Sophia.
Sophia: Hey, have you told her yet?
Jaeden: no. I just don't know the right time to tell her.
Sophia: wow. I didn't know you were such a scaredy cat.
Jaeden: really? This isn't the time.
Sophia: fine. Are you alone with her?
Jaeden: yeah.
Sophia: THEN TELL HER OMG DUDE.
Jaeden: thanks for helping me. *says sarcastically*
Sophia: anytime.*also says sarcastically* TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS AFTER. read 9:29am
I wait so I could get the nerves to tell her.
"Hey Maddie?" I ask kinda regretting what I'm gonna tell her.
"Yea? What's up?" She says turning of her phone.
"We're best friends right?"
"Of course we are. Best Friends forever, through thick and thin. I love you, but as a friend." She says. I feel like a total idiot thinking that she would like me back. WHY LIFE?
Jaeden: She likes me but only as a friend. Halp.
Sophia: you gotta be romantic and make her fall in love with you.
Jaeden: not happening.
Sophia: if you say so yourself.
Jaeden: ugh! Can you help a little here?
Sophia: why don't you text Wyatt or Finn? Out of all the losers, you picked me.
Jaeden: cuz you're the only one that'll take it seriously. read 9:45am
"Jae, are we just gonna sit around?" Maddie says scaring me a little.
"No, what do you wanna do then?"
"Wanna go to the mall?" She asks getting her shoes on.
"Why not?"
Time skip to the mall
"That was one long walk!" I tell Maddie.
"Oh shut up."
"Do you want Potato Corner? I'll pay." She says taking out her wallet.
"Yea sure. Can we get a slushee too?" I say with puppy eyes.
"Fine but we're sharing the slushee!" Maddie says and walks over to the line. While she's in line, I examine her. She's a beautiful person. Her brown eyes shine and her brown hair is silky. I get snapped out of my daze by Maddie. She comes over with a Cherry slushee and BBQ fries.
"Aaaaaand we have 1 cherry slushee and BBQ fries!" She announces.
"YAYA!" I say. We finish eating and we talk for a while.
"So...how's life?" She asks drinking the slushee.
"It's fine. Your life should be great since you're an actor an-" I cut her off.
"Being an actor doesn't mean life isn't bad. I can't find any auditions to go to so that means I'm not working. If I was, I would be able to help save up for a house." I explain.
"True. Well, let's get going. It's already 8:30 and I wanna sleep." She says. We walk back to the house.
Time skip to bedtime
"Ha, I like your giraffe onesie. It looks great on you." Maddie says sarcastically
"Yeah, thanks a lot!" I also say sarcastically.
"Night Jae."
"Night Mads."
