Final Chapter...
Chapter 9
Arianna woke up screaming, kicking, and thrashing around. She was confused but didn’t know what was going on. She continued her attempts and slowly she realized something was different.
She was crying whole heartedly and threw her eye lids open. It was so familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time. She was lying down and could see nothing but darkness.
She averted her gaze and could make out something spinning. It was spinning lazily and she realized it was a ceiling fan. She was in her room and she still felt scared.
Her fighting attempts slowed down and it took a few minutes to realize it had all been a dream. She stopped trying to fight against the man next to her in bed.
In total shock, she tried to make sense of what was happening. It had felt so real and she could hardly believe it was only a dream.
Her adrenaline was sky high and her heart was beating way too fast. She began to cry franticly and couldn’t seem to control herself. She became even more aware of the man next to her.
It was the love of her life. He was soothing her with caressing words and rubbing her back. She allowed this to go on and threw her arms around his waist.
She was holding onto him with every ounce of strength she had. Her cries slowed down and became whimpers. She could still feel the fear deep within her and tried to control it.
Suddenly, she remembered something and pushed the man back. Her hands flew to her stomach and she was relieved to see that there was no bulge there. It had all been a dream and she began to cry franticly.
She could sense concern and shock from her boyfriend. He had never seen her so upset. She wasn’t the crying type and she had never cried in front of him.
As the love of her life hugged her and kissed her soothingly while she cried, she wondered how she would ever tell him what she had found out the morning before....
