Vanessa's POV

The plane ride was much longer than I expected. Who knew it would take as long as it did to get from New York to California. I get off the plane and look for my luggage. Then when I walk out of LAX I see Christina standing outside.

When she sees me she runs towards me and I do the same. We are in a massive hug and some people started starting. Rude. But who cares! I'M A CALI GIRL NOW!

I know Christina because we became friends over YouTube. We both watched each others channels and just clicked. Ever since we have been best friends. Yes she is older, I'm 15, but still my best friend. Actually at this point she's like a sister to me.

"I'm so glad your finally here V!" says Christina once we break lose of our hug.
"Me too! It's like a dream come true!" I exclaim.

We decided to move out to L.A cause we both wanted to grow our careers and so we decided to live together.
Christina grabs on of my bags and we head to her new car.

Once everything is in the trunk we get in the car and drive to our house. I've never actually seen the house, Christina picked it. She and I have the same taste in fashion and other things so I figured she'd pick out a good house for us. She came out a few days before me to really settle things in for me.

The drive is about half an hour when we finally reach our new home. It's beautiful.

"Ahh I love it!" I shout to Christina as she pulls into the drive way. I knew I could trust her to pick the house.
"I thought you would! Wait till you see the inside. And the back is gorgeous too." She says. This is all so amazing and now it's my life.

We make our way into the house and I fall in love. It's so beautiful. This is like my dream house. She shows me my room and I immediately start to jump on the bed. It's the perfect room for me. Black and white. I like the way it looks but then there a small pops of color like the gold picture frames on my dresser.

"This is amazing C!" I say and hug her.
"Welcome to L.A babe!" she says.
This all do unbelievable. We head down stairs and go sit on a couch in our living room.

"So I just wanted to talk to you real quick about something."
"Shoot" I say crossing my leggings. I make myself comfortable.

"Well this house is truly amazing and I'm so glad you like it but its not really the main reason I chose this place. There were plenty other beautiful houses but the thing is." She stops. It seems like she's nervous to tell me this.

"C you can tell me anything. What's up?" I ask her try to reassure her. She smiles at me and continues.
"The main reason why I decided to get this house and not any of the others that I saw was because my boyfriend lives on the house next door." She says. Was she actually so nervous to tell me that?

"C that's totally fine. Who cares this place is amazing!" I say to comfort her. She seems relived.
"Yea. He lives with his band. Why Don't We." I just stare at her. Why Don't We is our neighbors? I've heard of them and I loved their music. I'm kinda a fan. I complete forgot that she was dating Corbyn. She has met the other guys but I haven't met any of them.

"Wow. Well that's cool."
"Really? Thank god! You're such a great friend. I would have thought you'd be mad I wanted to be so close to him since its supposed to be me an you out here." She says.

I can't believe it. She actually stressed about this.
"I'm totally cool with it. It's actually so cute that your boyfriend is now the boy next door." I say honestly. It doesn't big me at all. I just feel bad that she stressed about that.

"Well great! Also I kinda sorta told the guys we'd go over for dinner tonight."
"Oh. Well umm okay." I look at my watch and it's 3:30.
"What time are we supposed to head over?" I ask.
"5:30."
"Well I better hit the shower now." I say and head up.

I wish she told me since I wanted to go to this restaurant I heard was great but this is cool too. that can be done another time.

I take a quick shower.
By the time I'm out its 4:00. I open my suitcase and try to find something to wear.

I decide to wear black leggings a white and black stripped oversized t-shirt and my superstars. I decide not to wear my glasses to dinner. Yes I have an actual prescription but my vision isn't that bad. I don't really wear them unless I'm home alone. Sometimes I'm self-conscious about them.

I throw my hair up into and messy topknot bun and head down. It's time for a bit of make up. I just put on concealer, blush, mascara, and lip gloss.

It is now 5:15. I head down and wait for Christina to finish getting ready. I look at the weather and see its supposed to be a little chilly tonight so I run up to my room and grab my black cardigan. There, outfit complete I think to myself as I look in the mirror.

Christina is finally ready and we walk over to the Why Don't We House. She knocks on the door and Jack opens the door to let us in. He takes us to their living room where the some of the other guys are. Corbyn and Zach are missing from the bunch.

Christina introduces me.
"Guys this is my best friend Vanessa, the one I told you about. Vanessa this is Jonah, Daniel, and Jack." She says as she points towards each member.

"Hi!" I say and each of them get up to hug me.
"We're sorta huggers." Says the last one to hug me, Daniel. I smile at that.

Corbyn walks into the room and sees that Christina and I have arrived. He walks to her and kissed her on the cheek.

"Vanessa, you know Corbyn." She says. I knew Corbyn the most out of all the boys actually. That shouldn't be shocking given the fact that he's dating my best friend. We've talked on FaceTime and texted so we were friends.

"Nessa! Hey what's up?" he says to me as he hugs me.
"Not much," I say and notice he has an apron around his waist.
"Wait what's this for?" I ask curious why he has it on.
"Well I thought I'd wear some proper attire to make dinner." He says.
"You made dinner?" I ask surprised. He never told me that he could cook.
"Yep! It's actually not that bad. Zach helped." He says it in a way that sounds like he's trying to reassure me. It doesn't.

Zach calls for all of us to go eat and we head over the the dinning room. They made some basic pasta and a salad. It doesn't look bad like I thought it may have been.

I sit next to Christina and Zach. When we sit Christina introduces us.
"Oh Zachary!" she says in a sing song voice. He looks over at her and smiles.
"This is Vanessa" she says gesturing towards me. I smile at Zach and he puts his hand out. I shake it.
"Hey! It's great to meet you. Christina has told me a lot about you." he says and flashes a smile. I feel like I need to respond but I can't think of anything to say.

We eat dinner and the guys talk about their life in L.A. It seems like a ton of fun.

After dinner we all decide to head outside for a night swim. Christina and I quickly go back to our house to grab bathing suits and then come back to the Why Don't We House.

The boys are already in the pool by the time that we get in. I jump in and Christina follows. She then swims over to Corbyn, that trader. I go under so that my hair gets wet and when I surface Zach is next to me.

"Hi." He says.
"Hey." I say still unable to think of anything relevant to say to him.
"Christina talks about you all the time. You're some best friend." He says admiringly.
"Yea well we go through everything together. I'd never let her do something crazy or stupid alone!" I say and that gets Zach to laugh.

He's really nice. Actually he's a lot cuter in person too. His smile is wide and we just stay there for a bit.
"Well maybe we can do something stupid together sometime." He says with a smile. I really wonder what Christina has said about me.

It's late now so Christina and I decide to head home and get some sleep. Tomorrow were having a beach day with the guys so we need to get some rest. I say bye to all of them. As we walk back to our house I turn back around and catch Zach looking in my direction.
