Wednesday morning was crazy. As soon as I walked up to our little group, I realized that Calum and Michael were arguing.

"You're so fucking stupid, Michael!" Calum snapped. Michael rolled his eyes.

"Calum, just shut the fuck up! I swear, I fucking hate you!" Michael spat. That hurt Calum; I could see it in his eyes.

"Good." Calum replied.

"Guys, what the fuck is going on?" I demanded.

"Michael is being an asshole for no reason!" Calum exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow at Michael, who scoffed.

"Calum is being fucking stupid and acting like he fucking owns me." Michael replied.

"I'm mad because he wants to go to a party alone on Saturday. Not even a high school party, some stupid party at a club with a bunch of people who will drug his fucking drink and shit!" Calum snapped.

"Why do you care, Calum? It isn't your life or your business!" Michael glared at the tanner boy.

Calum rolled his eyes.

"I don't, never mind. It doesn't even matter." Calum sighed.

"Whatever. Just get away from me." Michael stated. Calum rolled his eyes again before turning and walking towards the school. I decided to follow Calum, as he had a more valid point in this argument.

We got to his locker and he groaned. I jumped when he punched the locker before leaning against it, his face hidden.

"Calum..." I softly sighed, gently touching his shoulder.

"What, Luke?" He snapped. I flinched before stepping back.

"It's going to be okay." I said.

"What if something happens to him, Luke? I love him! Not just in a best friend way. I love him, Luke. But I'm sure you already knew that." He confessed. I shrugged, choosing not to say anything.

"I'm sorry I'm upset." He sighed.

"It's fine. I understand." I replied.

"You'd be upset if it was Ashton, right?" He checked. I nodded, trying to imagine the scenario.

"Of course." I stated.

He gave me a small smile before entering the combination to his locker.

"Have you been to your locker yet?" He wondered as he grabbed a textbook.

"No. We're a bit earlier than usual, anyway." I shrugged. He nodded.

We began to slowly walk to my locker.

"Are you feeling any better?" I asked when we arrived to my locker. There was another short note, but that wasn't the best time to read it. I slipped it into my binder quickly.

"A little. I'm just mad because I care about him. I don't want anything bad happening." He sighed.

"I know." I replied.

We walked to English a few minutes later, being some of the first few to arrive. The teacher was there, along with three other students. Still, the first bell rang less than two minutes after we arrived.

"I hope he doesn't drag this whole thing into the class." Calum stated. I nodded in agreement.

Ashton was the next from our group to walk in. He practically slammed his binder down as he took his seat.

"What's wrong?" Calum questioned.

"Luna. We're arguing again." He rolled his eyes.

"About what?" I asked, preparing my stuff to start our book project. We had one month to finish it, but we would need the month. Especially if the group members kept arguing the way we were.

"She's pissed off because this girl was talking to me. I was being nice and answered the girl." Ashton explained.

"What'd the girl say?" Calum pressed.

"She said I was cute and asked if I have a girlfriend. I said yes, I do. And Luna is mad because I didn't ignore the girl completely."

The girl was right; Ashton was absolutely perfect. Everything about him was flawless, from his sparkling hazel eyes, to his contagious smile, to his stunning body.

The two of them talked about it as I finished getting everything together. Michael was the next to arrive, with Luna following right behind him.

All five of us went silent, both because everyone was mad at each other and because the bell rang.

"Guys, don't forget! I want an actual book, and a PowerPoint made. You have one month, so there should be no excuses as to why they don't get done." The teacher reminded us.

We had already decided that I would be writing it, Luna and Calum would be drawing the pictures for the actual book, Michael would be designing the cover, and Ashton was going to help me put together the presentation. We'd all be approving it, of course, and helping to come up with names and the basic storyline.

I pulled out some notebook paper to begin writing out the description of the book.

Charlie is a small dog who decides to go on an adventure. While he is gone, he gets lost. He is very scared, until he meets a new friend! His new friend is a hedgehog, who's name is William. After playing all day, William decides that he wants to help Charlie find his way home. They run into a lot of trouble, but can they find Charlie's home?

"What do you want, Calum?" Michael snapped. I looked up from my book description, confused.

"What?" Calum asked.

"You're glaring at me! What do you want?"

"I'm not glaring at you. I'm paying attention to Luke's writing." Cal argued. Michael rolled his eyes.

"What the hell crawled up your guys' asses?" Ashton demanded.

"Calum thinks he's my mother." Michael scoffed.

"I don't want him going to a party in some stupid club with a bunch of grown men, who are strangers! It's dangerous!" Calum exclaimed, though they were still being somewhat quiet.

"You don't need to worry about it, Calum. It isn't your problem. It's not your life." Michael said.

"He's got a point, Cal. I know that you're worried because he's your friend and everything, but you shouldn't be. He's not stupid. He won't do anything wrong. Honestly, I think you're overreacting." Luna shrugged.

"Overreacting? You're mad at Ashton because a girl said something to him! And he was being a decent human and told her that he does have a girlfriend!" Calum pointed out. Luna's face started to go red.

"Dude, you need to fucking chill." Michael stated.

"Guys, just leave Calum alone." I sighed.

"Shut up, Luke." Ashton spat. Ouch.

"No." I replied.

"You're so fucking annoying!" Ash told me. That hurt a bit.

"I'm just saying! You guys are saying he's stupid and overreacting for wanting his best friend to be safe! It's ridiculous!" I defended myself.

"Luke, nobody asked. Okay? Just shut the hell up and go back to work." Luna told me.

"I'm done." I decided after a minute. I gathered my things and left. If the teacher asked, I knew that I could tell her I got sick.

I walked to the bathroom, unsure of where else to go.

I was only in there for a few minutes until Calum walked in.

"I told her that you got sick, and she sent me to check on you. She wants me to take you to the nurse." He explained. I nodded.

"We should leave." I suggested.

"Are you sure? What about practice?" Calum questioned.

"I can be back by four." I shrugged. With that, we very carefully gathered our things from our lockers and left.
