When I walked to the flowers, Ashton was sitting there.

"Hi, Luke." He said.

"Hey." I replied. I didn't piece it together until the next time he spoke.

"I'm glad you decided to meet me here." He stated.

"Wait, you've been writing these?" I asked. He nodded.

"Oh." Was all I said.

"Do you want to go get some food later tonight?" He asked me.

"Sure." I nodded. "What time?"

"Six thirty." He answered. I nodded before going to my car. I buckled the mechanical baby into the backseat and placed my backpack next to it.

The whole way home, I thought off all the things Ashton had written me. I didn't react right, and I was sure that he thought I wasn't pleased. Truth was, I just wasn't sure what to say. It was difficult to believe and understand; I was stunned.

It was still strange to me That Ashton felt that way, but it also made me happy. Extremely happy.

When I got home, my mom seemed confused.

"Don't you have a game to go to?" She questioned.

"We don't have one this week." I replied. She nodded.

"How's little Emmett?" She asked, gesturing towards my fake baby project. I had named it Emmett.

I shrugged, just as it started crying.

I sighed and walked up to my room. I pulled the crying thing out of its car seat and cradled it in my arms, letting it suck on a bottle.

Eventually, it stopped crying. I laid it on the bed and looked into my body mirror. I was in sweatpants and a big hoodie, with barely any makeup on. It was extremely comfortable, but I didn't want to get food with Ashton like that.

I walked downstairs and into the living room, where my mom was watching something.

"Hey, mom? Can I go get food with Ashton at 6:30?" I questioned.

"Yeah, sure honey. Tyler's coming over tonight." She informed me.

"Oh, have fun." I replied.

"You, too. By the way, are you two dating?" She questioned. "I can tell you two like each other."

"Um, n- no. Not officially, anyway." I answered, thinking back to the cuddles and the kiss that made my head spin and the unofficial dates.

"Oh. Okay." She shrugged.

I went back to my room and checked the time. I still had two hours until I was leaving.

I took a shower, quickly dried my hair and body, and started looking at my clothes around 5:30.

I settled on a short, black skater skirt and a light pink t shirt. I put on socks and some black combat boots before putting on some light eye shadow, black mascara and eyeliner, highlight, and red lipstick. I did my eyebrows and made myself smell good before Ashton arrived.
