You used to swear to me I was loved,
used to call me your angel sent from above.
Oh, how times have suddenly passed
for where diamonds once lay
there is a treasure chest of lies,
with a weeping angel sat at its side,
watching with broken eyes. For the death of a diamond
shows nothing but misfortune I open the chest
with my tearful eyes
uncovering your perfect lies.
I untangled the angel's ties,
I believed the words that came flooding out,
they sounded so convincing.
Sweet innocent lies.
Looks can be deceiving.
