Genji Shimada X Reader

Sunlight

   When you woke up you weren't sure if you were dreaming or not. You were cuddled into a bed sunlight blanketing your bed. You sleepily sat up and look around noticing the sleeping ninja beside your bed. He must have fallen asleep while waiting for you to wake up. You sigh softly and look down seeing a few bandages coated your body. It was strange to think what you went through was real but it was. You watch Genji sleep for a little while before gently shaking him awake not sure what to do.

   Genji went wide eyed and sat up quickly making you stumble back as well from the shock. He seemed to calm down when he noticed it was you and sighs in relief "You're awake thank god.." he whispers. You could hear how tired he was. Had he stayed up all night? You nod and rub the back of his neck "You know you didn't have to watch over me right?" He nods and sighs "I just wanted to make sure you were safe. I should have never invited you to the arcade." You could see the guilt in his eyes and frown and quickly take his hand "This isn't your fault.. You didn't do anything wrong Genji, you weren't even there!" Genji had such a sad look on his face and clung to your hand "I should have been though! They attacked you because... Because they saw that you were with me... Hanzo said that I shouldn't tell you that but..." 

   You look down in thought and sigh softly "Did you know them?" He shakes his head no "no..." You hum and look at him "Then you can't control what they do. It's their fault for doing something like that..." For a second you could see a sparkle of joy and light in Genji's eyes. It took a second for you to realize that he was looking at you and you smile kindly sunlight cascading down on you making you look like an angel.
