You let out a soft sigh after a long day of work. You lost track of time as you normally do when you're working hard. You hum and go to change for your date going wide-eyed at the options of dresses that you didn't own in your closet "Athena? Who's clothes are these?" Athena was quick to respond "Doctor Ziegler, she asked me to tell you to have fun on your date." You go wide-eyed seeing the time quickly slipping into an emerald green dress that clung perfectly to your body. It went down to your knees and had frills on the bottom.
You quickly slip into a pair of white heals tying your hair the way you like it as there was a knock on your door. You open the door and smile sure enough there was Genji waiting for you "Are you ready Y/N?" You nod and smile as he offers his arm gladly taking it. As he shows you through the halls outside and smiles "follow me." He grabs a rope and slides down it with ease. If you knew this is what the plan was you would have picked an easier dress to work with. You go over and slide down anyway seeing genji's flushed face. It took you a few seconds before you understood what happened and blushes bright red yourself pulling down your dress skirt. He clears his throat "t-this way." he leads you through some rocky terrain and there it was, an amazing picnic with candlelight set up on the cliff so you could see the ocean. You look around shocked "it's amazing..."
You weren't sure if you could force some other words out until he sat down by the side "S-Sit down." you went over and fold your dress back as you sit down like a lady would. He smiles softly a soft blush across his face, he was clearly nervous "how was your first day at work?" You smile softly and look down "It was lovely thank you Genji, It was hard but very interesting." He nods and looks down biting his lip "Y/N...?" You hum softly seeing genji was clearly worried and unsure about something "What is it genji...? Is there something on your mind?" He takes your hands and looks at you in the eyes "Would you... be my girlfriend?"
