Zane's POV

"H-humans...?" She sat up, then slumped back down in pain.

"Take it easy... Stay here, I'll be back." I remembered when my cousin Scarlet had visited earlier, but had left her dress on accident. It was pink, and I thought it would suit the mermaid-, well, girl.

I knew she couldn't walk, but I gave it to her and told her to take my coat off and put on the dress. I left the room.

When I came back she had on the dress. "Is this what humans where? It's sort of comfy..." She sat up and stared at her legs.

"Why do I have two tails....?" she pointed at her feet. "Those are legs." I couldn't help but laugh. "Guess I need to teach you how to walk, huh." I helped her up and swung her arm around my shoulder. "What's your name, by the way?" I looked at her. "Uhm, it's Kawaii~Chan, but you can call me KC." She smiled. "I'm Zane, you have a very cute name." I smiled, she blushed.

We walked to my living room, funny enough that I had one of the biggest houses in the village, thanks to my family, the living room was smaller, but still it was wide enough for this.

"You have a nice castle." She smiled. "Heh, it's not a castle, but it's a house." I laughed. "House?" I helped her sit down on my couch.

"Okay KC. Try standing up. Push up with your hands and balance with your feet." She pushed up, and fell over. I snickered. "Hey! You didn't expect me to make it first try! I've never done this..." She pouted.

After many tries, she finally stood up. "I did it!" She giggled. "Now, walk." I smirked. "WALK?" She falls over. I start laughing. "Yes! W-A-L-K. Move your L-E-G-S. C'mon!" She stood up. "Like... this?" She moved around a little. 

Then more.

Soon she was running around me. Laughing, and smiling. "Woohoo! You did it!" I laughed. "Now, I need to get food, and I don't want to leave you here. Be silent KC." I held out my hand.

KC's POV

I took his hand. EEE!! One more step and his lips will be on mine~. Oh Irene, that sounded weird.

We walked out the house and started walking down this weird long path of ground. There were other houses with humans, with stands, selling different human food. 

Zane covered my eyes. 

"You don't want to see this..." We kept walking, I'm in confusion.

Zane's POV

I kept her eyes covered as we hurriedly rushed past the fish section.

She... REALLY didn't have to see this.

We turned around the corner, and I uncovered her eyes. "What was that about Zane?" She looked confused. "Uhm... nothin'. OH LOOK. IT"S WHAT I NEED YAAA." I pulled her over to some fruit and vegtables. "Shh..." I say, and buy some food. I turn around.

Kawaii~Chan isn't there. 

"KC??" I looked around. I see her pinned against a wall by a guy winking at her and talking. Oh boy howdy here we go. 

I run over to them. "Heya kitty~. You wanna go to my house~?" He winks. She says nothing, confused and blushing. "Hey, back off." I push him off. "Why? She's clearly free for people." I tug her away. "She's mine." I say proudly, and walk away with her. Ugh, why did I say that?? She looked at me, with a gleam in her eyes. 

"Sorry about that. Humans are weird." I try to laugh it off nervously. "But you're a human, and you're not weird." She smiles cutely. "Uhm... thanks." I smile. 

We head home.

Guess now we're really...
