Jack opened his front door the next morning and found Tucker and Genevieve standing there. "Well well well" he grinned "that was fast." Tucker walked inside, "I got to thinking Jack and you are right. It's time Victor really paid for his sins." Genevieve closed the front door, "And I'm just along for the ride." She said putting down her suitcase. "That's what you said last time." Jack scoffed. "She's my wife now Jack, where I go she goes." "So you two are really happy?" "Yes Jack, sorry to disappoint you but we are." Genevieve smiled latching arms with Tucker. "No kids?" "Are you out of your mind? I'm too old for that." Genevieve laughed. "Apparently the Newman's aren't." Jack reminded her. "Yeah so the newest Newman beat?" Tucker asked. Jack pulled out his phone and showed them a picture of Nevaeh. "Nevaeh Grace Newman." "She looks just like Nikki." Genevieve gasped. "With an attitude just like the Mustache." Jack huffed. "So what's the plan man?" Tucker questioned. "I was up half the night figuring it out." Jack took a seat "We take the girl and demand the company for her safe return." Genevieve looked from her husband to Jack. "Absolutely not. My husband will not be involved in the kidnapping of a child. Especially not the child Victor and Nikki Newman.." "Now hold on a minute Gen" Tucker said "we won't harm the child." "I know you so t but he might." She glared at Jack. "What kind of monster do you think I am?" Jack threw his hands up in the air. "Jack you're just as bad as Deacon. You claim you love Nikki, but when it all comes down to it you just hurt her." "I have nothing in common with Deacon Sharpe." "You know Gen's right. You love Nikki but you're going to kidnap her child. Not cool." "I thought I could count on you!" Jack shouted as he stood up. "Years ago you were all for this!" "Yeah I was but not when you go after innocent children." Tucker replied. "That child is anything but innocent. You know what Victor taught her to call me? Jack Ass." Genevieve burst into laughter. Both men looked st her, "I'm sorry but that is. . . Jack Ass." She continued to laugh. "Nothing about this is funny. I'm going to get Newman Enterprises with our without your help." Jack said turning back to Tucker. Tucker thought for a moment, "You know when my mother died she gave everything to Victor and Nikki. People she's not even related to. I'm her son and I got nothing. They took my mother from me and the life I was supposed to have." He put out his hand, "I'm in. . . Jack Ass." He said with a sly grin.
Nikki was in the barn with Nevaeh that afternoon. The snow storm had subsided and they had gone out to feed the horses. "Hello Blue Smoke!" Nevaeh greeted her mothers horse as she climbed up the side of the stall. Nikki opened the stall for and went in and poured food in Blue Smoke's dish. "He doesn't like Daddy very much." Nevaeh giggled. "Oh I know that." Nikki grabbed a brush and began running it along the horses mane. "Daddy always made Summer feed him." "Blue Smoke never liked your Daddy." "Why not?" "Well because Blue Smoke wants all my attention." "You mean kinda like Jack?" Nikki stopped brushing the horse. "What?" "Daddy says Jack wants all your attention and that's why he's so mean." "Well honey, yes kind of like Jack." Nikki finished brushing Blue Smoke, "We'll go riding soon." She gave him a pat on the back before stepping out of the stall. Nevaeh jumped down and rushed over to the stall they kept her pony in. "She still needs a name Mommy." "You still don't have one? I thought Faith picked out Angel?" "She did but Champ made fun of it." "He's a boy that's what they do." Nikki opened the stall door and Nevaeh went in to feed her pony. "Well I guess we could call her Angel." "I think it's a beautiful name." Nikki said. "Hello Angel." Nevaeh smiled, "Mommy can we brush her?" "Daddy didn't teach you?" "Nope." "I'll get on him about that." Nikki stepped into the stall with a brush and handed it to Nevaeh. She placed her hand over her daughters and guided it back and fort on the horse. "See just like that." "She's so shiny." "Yes she is, and if you brush her line this all the time she will stay this shiny." "I can't wait to ride her." "I can't wait to teach you. Nicholas and Victoria never really did like to ride." "Why not?" "Well I really don't know. I just guess they never really liked it." "But I love it!" "I know you do." Nikki picked up her daughter and hugged her tight, "And I love you."  Nikki carried Nevaeh out of the stall and closed the door. "Well I'd say our work here is done." "I think so Mommy. Let's go find Daddy."
Nikki carried Nevaeh in the house, "Victor!" She called walking to the living room. Victor stood near the window his phone in his hand. "Victor? What is it?" "Princess, go upstairs." He turned around. "Mommy?" Nevaeh whispered. "Honey it's okay go up to your room. I'll be there soon." Nikki put Nevaeh down and she went upstairs into her room. When Nikki heard the door close she turned to her husband, "What is it?" "Tucker and Genevieve are back in town." He said showing her the text from one of his henchmen. "What? How?" "I don't know they have no reason to be here now that Katherine is gone." "You mean Tucker didn't even come back for his mothers funeral?" "Jill didn't want him here." "Well maybe Genevieve wanted to see her son." "I'm not so sure they are on good terms. Cane isn't so fond of his stepfather." "They're still married?" "From what my men tell me, yes." "Darling we shouldn't worry I think we'll be fine." "I hope you're right sweetheart because if anything happens to you or the children I'd never forgive myself." "Victor, just stop worrying. All of that is behind us now." "I'm not so sure that it is. You wake up and then they come back to town." "Victor please I don't want to think about it anymore." "Why not? Nikki don't you understand that if we turn our backs something could happen!" "Stop yelling I don't want Princess to hear. She can't know about any of this." "She already does." "What?" "I told her all about Sharon and Deacon and everything." "Victor she's a child. She's too young to understand. What kind of father would do that to his child?" "One who had to raise the child on his own and protect her from the dangers of this town!" Nikki slapped him "Its not my fault and you know that!" "If you want to go on pretending that no one has it out for us then be my guest!" Victor shouted as he rushed to the door. "Where are you going?" She followed him. "To deal with reality." He opened the door. Nevaeh opened her door and crept to the top of the stairs. She peered down and saw her parents. "Victor don't do this." Nikki pleaded. "I have got to protect you." "Nothing is going to happen to me." "You don't know that." "Victor please don't." "Daddy!" Nevaeh ran down the stairs tears streaming down her face. Victor looked at his daughter, "Princess I have to go out for a little while." "No you're not. You're leaving us." Nevaeh cried as she tugged at Nikki's sweater. Nikki picked her daughter up, "Just go she doesn't need to see any of this." Nevaeh hid her face in Nikki's chest as she cried. Victor looked at his girls, "Sweetheart I'm sorry." Nikki backed away toward the stairs. "Nikki" "Victor I can't do this right now. I've got to make sure my daughter is okay." She said the words my daughter through her teeth as she walked up the stairs.

Is Victor right to be worried?
