Moving to a new place with a seven month old pregnancy is definitely not the brightest of actions. Samantha Castle on a normal day is a closed off individual, barely speaks, and as of now has forgotten how to smile. Now merge this personality with a grumpy heavily pregnant woman, definitely not the best combination.
The driver might have dropped her off if she were traveling alone but luckily for her she had her best friend to support her.
"Seriously Vivian how far are we traveling I'm so sick of this car" Samantha huffed in annoyance
"Bestie if you'll calm the fuck down you'll notice we are almost there don't you remember the way?"
"Well luckily for you this pregnancy tends to make me forget things easily so I'll probably forget that you just swore at me" Samantha answered back a little less annoyed this time
Vivian didn't swear that often at Samantha so she knew that was a warning tone from her best friend. Having a friend for seventeen years had its perks. Vivian had been Samantha's best friend since they were three years of age. Living across the street surely gave their friendship wings to grow. And years later they were inseparable, which was why when Samantha made the decision to move elsewhere, Vivian followed her, filling the gap of a friend, mother, sister and family.
"We are here" Vivian announced with a smile. She had always been optimistic about everything, always believed that there was a silver lining to every cloud. Having lost her parents to a ghastly plane crash along with Samantha's mother, the asian beauty soon learnt that life is not a bed of roses. She and Samantha had soon become each other's support. Although they didn't have any issue in financing their education, they found life extremely lonely with their loved ones dead and soon sought solace in the company of each other.
The house was a beautiful bungalow. A three bedroom bungalow. Shirley had already installed their furniture two days ago, changed the locks and completed all the formalities needed. So all that was left was moving in.
"You should be awarded with the title of the 'most patient person' in the whole world" Vivian told the driver as he helped them unload.
Smiling he shook his head " I think that title will fit you more, good luck with your best friend and best wishes for the new baby". Dropping their bags at the front of the house he saluted her playfully and left."Good thing we already brought in the furniture ahead, I can't imagine doing all that work now" Samantha said sitting on the couch.
"Remind me to never travel with a pregnant woman ever again for as long as I shall live" Vivian said rolling her eyes.
"Was it really that bad?" Samantha asked feeling bad"Let me see, you complained my head off, you pissed off the driver, made us stop frequently and complained that the new house was too far, hmmm yes I think it was really bad and annoying"
"I- um sorry I didn't know I made it annoying" Samantha muttered
Sitting on the couch beside her friend she took her hand " but having my sister with me made the journey worth it" Vivian said with a small smile.
The rest of the day continued with unpacking and a helpful Samantha who didn't want to feel like a bitch although Vivian already made it clear that she wasn't annoyed.
Vivian was a brown skinned girl with Asian roots, black hair and dark chocolate eyes and average height.
Samantha was light skinned and that was the major difference because she also had dark hair, dark chocolate eyes and was of average height.Too tired to cook, both ladies decided to order.
Vivian had gotten the master bedroom since she had a whole lot of stuffs and Samantha got the second room for herself and the third for her baby.
Sitting in her new room, on her new bed, Samantha hoped she would be able to at least get a few hours of sleep before she would wake up. Unlike other pregnant women who tended to sleep a lot, Samantha's system refused to change as she still woke up before dawn. This became a real issue for her when she began to tire easily and was unable to rest well. She began to have bad mood swings and lashed out over the slightest matters. Only Vivian could calm her down and of recent she felt as though Vivian would get tired of her and leave her just like the other people in her life.
