"Bye mom." I said while jumping out of the car. I head towards the doors of the school, heading for my locker. Once I'm at my locker I quickly stuff my backpack in it and take everything I need for class with me. I don't bother to wait for Emma or Casey, because like I said, I needed to get to class early today. I stalk off to English class, doing a small jog in between steps.
Once I'm finally in front of the class door, I lean my head into the classroom, checking if anyone was already there. My eyes graze over the classroom until they stop at a figure sitting at a desk, head down, pencil in their hand tapping the wooden desk. I tilt my head to the side trying to get a better look at the student, and they must have felt someone staring at them because suddenly, they lift their head slowly. Brown eyes meet my blue ones as I realize the student I was staring at was Ian Brenne.
My mouth drops a little as a smirk slowly appears on his face. Mr.Ridge must have seen him looking at something near the door, seeing as how he abruptly acknowledged my presence.
"Ah, Ms.Reid. Please, take a seat." He motions to one of the desks. I send a small smile his way as I head over to where I usually sit. I sit down in my seat, placing my books on my desk, and turning to the page I need to study. Strangely, I decide to turn my head to where Ian was sitting, for what reason? I don't know. Saying I was a little bit surprised is an understatement when once again I find his eyes staring back at mine, that smirk still on his face. My eyes linger on his for a few more seconds until I remember I have to study the material again. I whip my head back to my book, wondering why he was staring at me when I looked back at him. Also, I could have sworn his eyes flickered lower to my face, my lips maybe, but I was probably just imagining that.
