I wake up to the annoying sound of my alarm. I carefully open my eyes, just to be met with the blinding sunlight coming through my window. I sit up, squinting and groaning. My head thinks back to what happen and I remember what happened last night.
Texting Edward.
Falling asleep.
I groan and let myself fall back into the comfort of my bed.
The fight with Danny.
I take my blanket and cover my eyes with it. I lay there like that for what feels like two seconds. I look at the clock. 6:05. I'm about to go back into hiding in my bed when I realize that I fell asleep yesterday without taking a shower. I groan. I managed to drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom, but not before remembering to charge my phone.
--
I'm just about to get out of the shower, wrapping my towel around myself, when I hear a loud pounding on the door that could possibly break it down. Only one person lives in this house that would do that. Danny. "Hurry up! Other people have to use the bathroom too!" I roll my eyes and don't respond to him. I take my time to get dressed and ready just to piss him off. When I'm done getting dressed, I open the door, only to be met with Danny with a frown and furrowed brows.
"What the hell? I told you I needed the bathroom!" He said with a loud tone.
"So? You're not the only person who needs it." I say while rolling my eyes.
"Also, don't frown so much. You'll get premature wrinkles." I say just before walking away, and into my bedroom.
I don't know what his reaction to that was, but frankly, I don't care. I push everything out of my head, getting ready for school, being my top priority at the moment.
--
After blow drying my hair and adding some make up, I look at the time. 6:43. I have about 17 minutes to get my English homework done and cram some studying in there. Fortunately, my other teachers didn't assign us homework. I quickly get to work on finishing my assignment.
I'm in the middle of writing out my last answer to the last question when I hear my mom call out my name. I look at the clock and realize it's time to go to school. I swear it's only been 5 minutes. I quickly gather all my school things and put them into my backpack, slinging it over my shoulder, grabbing my phone from my desk and unplugging it. I run down the stairs and turn to see my mom with the keys in her hand.
"Ready?" She asks me.
I respond with a quick "yup" before heading out the door. I saw my mom's car along with Danny's in the driveway. I thought Danny would have already gone, considering yesterday. I don't spend time thinking much about it, as I stalk off to where my mom's car is, open the door, and sit down, waiting for mom. I thought about studying on the way to school, but the school is too close that I wouldn't be able to get that much information down. However, I figured that if I got to class early, while waiting for kids to start coming in, I could study. I felt a little more relieved at thought that I might not actually fail the quiz today. Then, I remember I had English with Edward. My mood is suddenly lifted and I get giddy. I see my mom approaching her car. As she sat down in the driver's seat, she notices my happy mood.
"Was your first day that good?" She asks with a chuckle.
"Yup." I say popping the 'p'
"I figured, I've never seen you that happy while on the way to school."
I smile as my mom pulls out the driveway and on the way to school.
I wonder how today's going to go.
