The sunburnt leaves stick to my sole,
Your whispers still lingering in my ear,
I'm simply just trapped in a hole,
You seem to keep all the people that have loved you here,
The branches begin to constrict around my throat,
Crescendoing my precarious self,
But when your lips touched mine I began to emote
Feelings of fright, limerence and wealth,
Somehow you stripped it all away,
The masks of happiness and content,
Although I love you as I may,
I want to know where it all went.
