Love is fire,
Burning inside me vigorously,
It has no enemy,
No matter how much you try to extinguish it,
The fire will prevail.

But what is love?,
It is nothing but passion,
The feeling of butterflies within,
The meaning of life,
That all seek for.

Although, I found this love for you,
I have searched and found,
I was an explorer voyaging,
And I found my treasure,
The thing that I would live off of forever.

As I expressed my feelings for you helplessly,
The fire within me grew,
The embers burnt the thoughts within me that weren't of you,
It was in this moment that I knew my life would be consumed by you.

But as you dampen my fire within,
Leaving it as nothing but charcoal and ash,
My feelings extinguish,
And I come to realise,
I may have searched and found but failed miserably,
My love wasn't your treasure,
But simply a burden that you wanted extinguished.
