“SURPRISE!!”
I stepped back and looked around. They did it again. They turned my house into a party. I still had no idea why. It’s not a holiday and it’s surely not my birthday or anything.
“It was all Simone,” Demi said walking up to me.
“Simone?”
“Yup!” Simone said approaching me.
“Why’d you do this?” I asked her.
“Because you’ve done so much for me. You helped me overcome my problems, gave me a place to stay, and now you’re helping me get a career. I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done.”
“I can’t believe you did this!” I smiled, “You’re amazing. Truly a friend.”
“Which reminds me!” Demi said, “I came up with the idea for us all to sing Gift Of A Friend on stage.”
“And I’ll be videotaping,” David added, “Like usual.”
“You’re going to turn it into a music video again aren’t you?” I asked him.
“Possibly,” he answered, “I can’t help it.”
“Whatever,” I laughed, “But let’s do it.”
“Yes!” Simone yelled.
They both grabbed my hand and pulled me on stage where everyone was waiting for me. Our bands were already waiting and the LovatoIsLouder was front row cheering. They tossed me my lucky microphone and we all began singing. It felt amazing to sing all together.

I felt their arms wrap around me as the song ended. We were all smiling and I saw multiple flashes from cameras all over the room. At that moment I realized how thankful I am to have so many best friends. Not only do I have Demi and Simone but I also have Dylan and the members of the LovatoIsLouder group. We’ve always been there for each other and it felt good to have another member to the group.
