12:00am
i stirred in my sleep feeling a lump on my stomach. my eyes flutter open to find my gorgeous boyfriend sitting on my torso.
"happy birthday markie!" he whispered yelled.
"thank you hyuck." i replied with a grin.
we shared a sweet passionate kiss and after we pulled away for air, donghyuck rolled onto the open side of the bed beside me and rested his head on my bare chest. my arms automatically wrapped around his waist and i planted a soft kiss onto his forehead before falling back to sleep.
10:45am
after waking up again, me and donghyuck went downstairs to get some breakfast.
my mom and dad rushed over to me to wish me a happy birthday and both gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before saying they were off somewhere.
none of my friends had texted me and wished me a happy birthday yet which made me a little upset since i message them all at 12:00am on the dot when it's their birthdays.
i didn't put much thought into it though because a certain someone dragged me into the kitchen and started making breakfast for the two of us.
5:00pm
text messages wishing me a happy birthday seemed to be the only notification i had been getting on my phone since lunchtime, but none of the messages were from my best friends so i only responded to the messages half-heartedly.
me and donghyuck were on the couch in the living room, currently in a tangle of limbs watching one of my favourite movies.
the movie had ended minutes ago but neither of us wanted to move from out comfortable position. that was until my dog jumped onto the couch ruining our moment.
with his dog leash in his mouth he whimpered and scratched at my middle and i couldn't neglect to care for my dog so hyuck and i untangled ourselves and stood up and put on our shoes.
we had been walking the doggo for about 30 minutes on a nearby trail and talked about school and other things. the sun was shining brightly and the trees around us were a nice green colour.
i wonder when donghyuck will be ready to tell our friends we're together. we have been dating for over 6 months now, and i'm pretty sure none of mine or his friends are homophobic.
my mind wonders off to my friends, thinking of all the possible things they could be doing right now that would make them forget my birthday.
6:35pm
me and donghyuck made it back to the house just as the sun was starting to set. our walk was nice and calming and momentarily made me forget about my asshole friends.
the house looked slightly different, all the lights were off inside, but me and donghyuck had left a few on. my parents car wasn't in the driveway so they couldn't be home.
i ignored it and walked inside and let the dog off the leash.
i entered the living room and switched on a light to be met with a giant
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!"
most of my friends were here and a few others as well, just taeil, yuta, doyoung, jaehyun, johnny and sicheng. i was decently close with all of them and seeing as they really didn't forget my birthday meant a lot.
they had prepared snacks and a few decorations while me and donghyuck were out and thinking about it i'm a little salty that they made me think all day that they actually forgot about me.
the smile that was plastered on my face quickly turned into an unamused look that left me folding my arms over my
chest staring out at my small group of friends.
"common markie cheer up." yuta said as he wrapped his arm around my neck.

i shot my unamused look directly in his direction and he was quick to back away with his hands up in surrender.
my face spread into another smile as i chuckled and thanked them and we all started having our small party.
10:30pm
we were all gathered around the coffee table in the living room laughing about my reaction to the mini surprise party.
"i feel like he will hold a grudge about it." jaehyun commented while the rest laughed lightly nodding their heads in agreement.
the night was coming to an end after presents were given and thank you's were shared.
"will you ever forgive us?" sicheng asked with a small smile.
"maybe when sehun gets some lines."
