jaehyun waited outside hearing shuffling coming from inside. he flinched slightly as he heard a loud thump. about 30 seconds later taeyong opened the door looking a little red at the face, and a bit out of breath. jaehyun was a little taken back by the current state of the other boy.
"hi, sorry for making you stand out here for so long." taeyong breathed out. he was so close to punching johnny in the back of the head as he was being extremely stubborn about leaving. "it's alright." jaehyun smiled.
taeyong stepped back opening the door wider for jae to enter. jaehyun looked around for a brief moment before smiling slightly.
'cozy' he thought. he slipped his shoes off by the front door and followed taeyong into the living room.
"you can sit anywhere." taeyong offered. jae nodded and sat on the couch as taeyong went to the kitchen. a few minutes later taeyong came back with 2 drinks for the both of them. he sat across from jae and decided it was finally time to engage in a conversation.
"sorry i took so long, there was some complications." taeyong chuckled. "it's fine. i heard a loud thump though. did you drop something?" jae asked. "no i actually fell." taeyong admitted. jae giggled slightly at the thought of taeyong falling.
"are you alright?" he asked. even though he found it a little amusing he still wanted to make sure the boy was alright. "yeah i'm good. i fell on my shins." taeyong chuckled. "what kind of complications did you have." jae asked.
taeyong froze momentarily. could he admit johnny was here? would jaehyun get the wrong idea? he reddened a bit at the thought of jae getting jealous.
"umm," taeyong started, taking a sip of his drink. jaehyun looked at him intently getting curious at taeyong's nervousness. "johnny was here." he said. jaehyun's eyebrows furrowed in confusion but he quickly recovered and tilted his head slightly.
"why? if you don't mind me asking." jaehyun was just wondering because there was always a thought in the back of his head, 'taeyong and johnny are really close.' you could say he was jealous but he wouldn't ever admit it out loud. he had always been quite envious of their friendship and often pictured what his and taeyongs friendship could be.
"he was helping me get ready." taeyong said that with a very evident blush on his cheeks. is was mildly embarrassing that he was so caught up on looking reasonably good for this night.
"what did you need help with?" at this point jaehyun was asking because he could feel some foreign emotion building up inside of him. "i really wanted to look good tonight." taeyong admitted. jae lightly laughed, it's was honestly adorable to him that taeyong thought he needed to look good for this. in his mind he didn't even have to try.
"you don't have to try to look good though." jaehyun blurted out just as the thought came across his mind. both boys went red at the comment, and just as jaehyun went to say something about if and or apologise for being so upfront, taeyong interrupted him. "it's ok, i understand what you meant." he was just as shocked and flushed as jaehyun but he thought he would save the boy some humiliation for now.
after both of them laughed it off for a few minutes they decided on watching a movie. they were about half way through watching the titanic before one of the decided they should ask a question.
"do you know what's up with mark and donghyuck?" jaehyun asked. "i know it's none of my business but i'm just really curious, they spend way too much time together and try to hide it." he continued. taeyong took a minute to think, he as well thought the two spent way to much time together and tried to hide it. not to mention a few days ago mark walked into to school seemingly oblivious to the huge hickey on his neck.
