"as if you could do better, taeyong."
i was expecting more of a mad response from him, but the response i got sounded playful. i question why i even sat behind him when i usually sit in the very back. it's like i couldn't stop myself from giving my opinion on his childlike drawing or sitting by him.
my sudden wave of confidence looks like it confused him as much as it did me. i think it's my hair, since now it was pastel pink instead of its usual brown.
"i probably couldn't, so you got me there." i replied back with a small smile.
he opened his mouth to say something to keep the conversation going but the teacher walked into the room ready to start the class. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't disappointed when he gave me an apologetic smile and turned around to face the front of the class.
the whole lesson was mainly just an introduction to what we will be doing and boring stuff like that, but the only thing i could focus on was the boy in front of me.
it's weird how we don't talk that much, we have exchanged phone numbers and we talk like acquaintances and it has never bothered me before now. it's like i want more than just a small casual conversation at school after a weekend.
how do i even keep a conversation going with him? does he think i'm too awkward? am i not interesting?
i need to stop stressing about this and focus on the teacher.
—[time skip cause i'm still lazy]
after school johnny, sicheng, and i were at my house hanging out and talking about our classes.
donghyuck wasn't here which was weird, especially since the reason he said he couldn't come was because of 'homework'.
it was only the first day of school, and even if he did have homework he never would do it over hanging with us.
i let it slide though as johnny brought up the topic of taeil.
"taeil needs to hurry up and get here." johnny said, with the biggest grin on his face may i add.
"what time did he say he'd be here at?" i asked him back, ignoring the now almost evil smile he sent my way.
"8." he said flatly.
his whole expression returned to normal now. i don't even wanna know what it was about.
"why are you so excited to see him anyways?" sicheng asked johnny.
johnny didn't respond with words, he just gave sicheng a 'bitch-clue-the-fuck-in-' look and sicheng nodded with a wide smile clearly remembering whatever it was he forgot.
i stayed completely clueless and patiently waiting for the curly haired boy to show up. it was 7:15pm now and it was a weekend after all. i tried to stay oblivious to the two foreign boys talking on the couch across from me and thought of some things that could be so important that we have to wait for taeil to show up to talk about.
who knows.
