*Hey any people who might be reading this, which I doubt there will be a lot, well anyways me and my friend decided to do a challenge -I guess you could call it that- where we both are doing to make our own Walking Dead stories. But we both are going to be in each others. Welp, here's mine.

Gunshots, gunshots everywhere. Damn it, why did this happen? My name is Leah Trew, I'm 13 years old, life going normal, but then this happened. The apocalypse. Everything was up in flames, cars turned over, people running and screaming, guns making their deafening sounds. But it was all because of these... things. They had limbs missing and holes all over their bodies from the guns. We don't know what to call them besides demons. People were shooting at them rapidly unsure how to kill them.
I continued to look out at the street. I stood leaning against a building in an ally, watching the destruction. Heh, you might call me weird for just watching and not running, but none of the demon things seem to come after me. They're too distracted by the noises from the screaming running people, on the other hand there's me, wearing all black, silently standing here in the shadows.
Suddenly a yank on my arm pulls me out of my thoughts and my instincts kick in and I instantly pull me arm and step away. It took me several moments to realize who it was. "Abby?" My friend, but something was wrong with her. Her brown hair was spotted with blood, her brown eyes full of fear and anxiety. My first thought was that she was one of those things, but I couldn't stand that. the only thing that reassured me was that her eyes didn't turn lighter and she was breathing.
"I-Is that... your bl-" she cut me short with denying it quickly. But she then grabbed my arm and headed more down the ally. "But we have to go now," she looked around scared. In one hand was her bow, it was more like a kid's bow but we sharpened the arrows at the end to make them more deadly. The quiver on her back was missing a few arrows, I knew she was clearing the area but I figured she would have grabbed her arrows, maybe she couldn't, but oh well, I know how to make more.
"Why do we need to leave? And where would we go? Our whole town is taken over by those demons! Our little East Liverpool is destroyed! We have no where to go!" I basically shouted in her face. Yes, we lived in Ohio. Our town isn't that big, but it was still over run.
"There's a hoard of those things coming, I don't know where to go but the forest seems safe for now. And I-I know... But we have to go" She mumbled the last part and started pulling me along.
I sighed. I won't be able to get it t her mined that we're screwed. But maybe she's right, maybe we can stay in the forest for now.
A moan of what seemed like pain came from in front of us. Abby's drew an arrow on her bow and aimed in the dark. After a few seconds one of those things limped out. It's arms were missing and blood seeped from it's mouth as it moaned at us. Was it in pain? is that why they moaned? I noticed something glinting off the sunlight that was jammed in the demon's side. It took me no more than a second to realize what it was.
"A knife!" I squeaked in joy. I pushed Abby's bow down and I walked up to the thing. I moved to the side of it towards it before it could try and bite me. I put one hand quickly right above the knife and the other on the knife. I gave one great pull and fell backwards with the knife in my hand.
I looked at the knife. It was a hunting knife that was 10 inches long, it actually had two blades on it. One was straight and had a clip edge, meanwhile the other was toothed. There clipped into the handle and it would fit perfectly in my pocket. It was in perfect condition beside the blood splattered on it.
I looked up to see Abby shoot it's heart but it still moved. It was getting close to biting her. "AHHHHHHH!!!" I screamed as I tackled it and sat on it's stomach as I stabbed it's head repeatedly. I saw the blackish crimson blood come out as it stopped moving.
I laughed and feel off of it, "That...was...AWESOME!" I said as I cleaned off the blade. Abby stared at me confused but then grabbed her arrows. "You are messed up in the head..." she mumbled.
"Oh come on if you were in my position you would have done the same," I said as I got up and lead the way further down the ally and to the edge of some woods. She followed and shook her head. "I wouldn't laugh like a maniac and yell that it was fun!" She said as I twirled the knife.
"That, my friend, is because you have no taste in knives!" I stated as she rolled her eyes.
"You're going to become a homicidal maniac."
"Ahh, but I may already be one."
"That's what I'm afraid of." She said as she cleaned off her arrow. She was about my height, my age, but I was still older by a few months. She was wearing a pink hoody and jeans. But her tennis shoes were covered in mud and blood.
We didn't say anything else for a bit until a blood chilling cry shouted out from somewhere.
"HELP!" is all it said...

*Okay so quick disclaimer, I DO NOT OWN THE WALKING DEAD, AS YOU ALL KNOW ALREADY. BUT I DON'T WANT SOME RANDOM PEOPLE GOING "OH THIS STORY IS CLEARY SAYING SHE OWNS THE WALKING DEAD. OH SHE DESERVES TO DIE" WELL NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I DON'T OWN IT.
But another thing to say, Abby I know you're reading this, and sorry for making you so much more mature and crap, but I roll like that.
Plus a blah blah blah, I'm going to make up a past for me that not true, at least as far as I know it's not true. I might put in some truth. Probably not.
PLEASE COMMENT, I DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT LIKES, JUST COMMENTS!
