Marichat: Fight Or Flight

As Adrien and his friends talked to Chloe about how to be nicer to everyone, Marinette got a great idea. "Hey! I have a way of helping you be a bit nicer to everyone! You know how dogs are trained right? They listen, they get a reward. They do something bad, they get a punishment. Why don't we do that with Chloe? If she doesn't brag about having better hair or is "still much more popular than all of you" then we give her a positive complaint like, "you're getting better!" or "that shirt looks great on you!"

"Right!" Adrien said smiling. "And if your bad or say or do something mean to someone, then we will give you a negative comment."

Chloe nodded while smiling. "Yes! Let's do it like that! You should write them on a card so every day I wake up, I'll look at the cards and see what I've been doing right and what I need work on."

After some more talking, Marinette looked at her phone at the time. She jumped up after seeing the time. She forgot she had to patrol with Cat tonight. "Crap! My, uh, parents want me home before dinner. I got to go. It was fun hanging with you guys! I'll see y'all tomorrow!" Everyone waved her goodbye, including Chloe, as she ran off to her house.

After she left, Alya and Nino left, then Chloe. Adrien left after Chloe but instead of going to his house, he ran behind a huge bush. "OK, Plagg, time to patrol the city." After transforming, Cat jumped from all the buildings till he got to the Eiffel Tower. When he got there, Ladybug was already there.

"Sorry I'm late, M'lady. Got held up with something."

"That's fine. So did I. I just got here about two minutes ago."

Cat sighed. He's been in love with Ladybug for almost a year now and it's killing him not knowing who she really is. He tries to convince her to tell him who she is but she can't because it would put herself and Cat in danger. Well, even more danger.

After an hour of patrolling, Cat decided to tell his Bug-a-boo his true feelings for her. When Ladybug was starting to leave, Cat grabbed her hand. "M'lady, I must confess something. I've been in love with you for a very long time and I thought I should finally tell you."

Marinette was shocked. She has always loved Adrien but over the year, she started developing feelings for Cat Noir as well. But she knew that if they were to date she couldn't bare it if Cat got hurt because of her. After finally being able to look away from him, Marinette said, "I'm sorry, but i think the only way to keep each other safe is if we remain just friends."

Cat felt crushed but he just put his head down and said, "Yea, maybe it is for the best. I understand. I got to go. Bye Ladybug." Before she could stop him, Cat Noir disappeared over the Eiffel Tower. Marinette went home upset, knowing she hurt Cat.

I'll apologize tomorrow. I can call him to meet me.

With that thought, Marinette drifted off to sleep.

Adrien detransformed and landed on his bed in a sigh. "I can't believe I just got rejected the love of my life."

"It's not all that bad, kid. Maybe you should wait to make another move till you guys find and finally defeat Hawk Moth."

"Yea, that's a good idea."

"Hey before you go to bed, give me my camembert!" Adrien chuckled and gave him his horrible smelling cheese. "My sweet gooyness!" He threw the cheese and it landed in him mouth. Adrien chuckled again and lied down on his bed and passed out.
