Marinette

As soon as he left, I let out a quiet sigh and laid back down on my bed. I just stared up at my ceiling, lost in thought. 

"Is everything okay, Marinette?" Tikki's voice called out. I opened my eyes and saw her hovering over my face. 

"It's getting harder Tikki. I don't know how I can keep this up."

"What do you mean?" She asked. She sat on my lap as I sat up to talk. 

"This. Not being able to go out like a real couple. Keeping ladybug and Marinette in separate lives, in separate ways. It just doesn't feel..." I paused for a moment before I sighed. "fair.." 

Tikki sighed quietly too. "I know, but it's just too dangerous to reveal yourselves right now. You wouldn't want anything to happen to yourself or him would you?"

"Of course not, but it doesn't mean that we cant figure out a way to work it out to where we can be together and still hide our identities from everyone."

"But think about it," Tikki spoke as she flew off my lap and in front of me, "you reveal yourselves to each other and no one else, how do you think everyone's going to react when they see you're no longer with Chat Noir and suddenly Ladybug and Chat are together? Even if you hide your feelings and keep things like this, something will happen to you to cause your shield to break down and all it takes is one slip up for Hawkmoth to find out who you are."

I stayed silent. I hate that she was right. I couldn't risk Chat's or my life just so we can be happier. I sighed softly, nodding my head. "You're right. I can't risk this." I muttered out softly. 

Before she could say anything we heard a knock on my bedroom door. I gasped and looked at Tikki. "Hide!" I whispered. Once she was out of sight, I called out. "C-come in!"

The door opened and in came to my brother. "Hey, Mar. Just came to see how yall were."He looked around a bit. "Where'd the pussy cat go?"

I rolled my eyes with a smile. "He went on patrol. Probably meeting up with ladybug." She shrugged. "He'll be back soon."

He nodded and smiled as he came to sit on the bed next to me. We sat in silence for a minute, the only sound was our breathing. After a bit, Mason spoke. "Do you still love Adrian?"

I was quiet for a minute before responding. "I'll always love him, but I'm not gonna chase after someone who doesn't want me back. And I don't blame him," I said shaking my head a little, "You can't help who you do and don't love."

He sighed a little. "Not wrong about that."

I nodded a little. "Of course it's always gonna hurt, but I had to move on. Besides, after I got to be around Chat more I realized we're more alike than I thought. And to be with someone like him makes me feel safe, cause I know he'll be there to protect me if something happens." I smiled, feeling a small blush form. "Plus, Adrian deserves to be happy. Whether it's with Chloe or Kagami."

"Not Lila?" He smirked, messing with me.

"God no, I'll still keep her away from him." I cringed a bit before we shared a laugh.

After a minute we calmed down and I laid my head on his shoulder. "He's good. I'm happy he makes you feel this way sis."

I blushed again and smiled some more. "Thanks big bro."

We pulled away and smiled to each other. After a few moments he got up and stretched a little. "I was wondering, do you wanna see if the others wanna meet up at the park? It snowed like crazy last night so its a nice dayh to go sledding."

"Sure that sounds great! Can I invite Chat?"

"Of course, the more the marrier." He smiled. I'm so happy he approves. I was kinda worried he wouldn't like Chat so much. 

"I'll text Alya, Juleka, and Chloe. You text Adrian, Aurora, and Kim." I said as I pulled my phone out. I knew Nino and Alya would be together, and so would Sabrina and Chloe, so I knew the others would all be together as well. 

"On it, meet downstairs in 5?" He said as he walked to to door.

I nodded with a smile. After he was gone, Tikki came back out as I started making my calls. She helped me find a cute winter outfit to wear. After I called everyone to let them know the plan, I wrote a letter for Chat and stuck it to my window. Once I was dressed I headed downstairs to meet up with Mason.
