Chapter 18

(My Pov)
    "Lilith?" A voice called her from her peaceful sleep. Lilith opened her grey eyes and looked up at her lover. Adrien loomed over her, gently twisting some of her blue locks with his fingers.
"Hmm?" She sat up and stretched her arms up to the color changing sky.
      "Can I ask you a question?" Adrien stops playing with her hair. His eye look down at her wrist and gently turned it over so he could see the mark on it.
"How did you get this?" Adrien asked. A snowflake scar lays upon her wrist. The scar tissue was much darker than the rest of her skin, making it standout more that a regular scar would.
"Oh," Lilith started, "It's quite a story. Are you sure you want to hear it?" Adrien nods and pats he grass next to him, signaling Lilith to sit down. "Well, when I was younger, around 14 years-old, there was a fire in one of the homes near mine. Someone wasn't paying attention while they were cooking," Lilith chuckled a bit before continuing, "Anyway, the fire got out of control and spread to the surrounding houses. One of those houses was mine. Everyone got out okay but I ran back inside to get a necklace my late grandfather gave to me. That was dumb, right?" Lilith said to her lover.
"Well I mean, I wouldn't have done that."
"Of course you wouldn't," She said sarcastically, "Well, I ran back into the burning house to get the necklace. It was in my room in a small metal box which was completely engulfed in fire. But being the "adventurous" girl I was, I ran into my room and opened the box with a small piece of wood that wasn't yet set on fire and coiled the necklace around it. When I was on my way out of the house, the beams that held the roof together started to crumpled and fall behind. It scared me and I wasn't paying attention to the burning necklace on the wood I still had or anything in front of me. The necklace slipped down the wood and burned my wrist while I ran out of the house." Lilith grazed the scar with her fingertips then looked up a Adrien.
    "Do you still have the necklace now?"
    "No. I gave it to my little brother. I told him to give it to his first born when they come of age just like grandpa did for me," she giggled, Now it's my turn to ask a question." Adrien raised his eyebrows playfully at her statement.
    "Oh really?"
     "Yes really! I want a straightforward answer this time. Do look up at the clouds and say "oh that on looks like a ship," then give me your cute but dumb smile." She lifted her fingers to his nose and flicked it.
     "Okay, okay princess I promise." Adrien said rubbing his nose. Lilith smiled and pushed her curly blue hair out of her face.
     "How did you get the scar on your chin?" Adrien playfully looks up at the sky and pointed at one of the clouds.
"That one right there looks like a ship..." Lilith quickly hit him in the shoulder and got up to leave, "Wait, I was just playing. I'll tell you." Adrien quickly stretched his hand out to take hold of Lilith's wrist. He gently pulled her back down into his lap and placed a kiss on her cheek.
"I'm waiting." She said in a sing-song voice.
"I told you about the dragon attacks on Berk," Lilith nodded, "Well when I was a kid I wanted to help my mom and dad fight them. I ended up getting cornered an a dragon claw scratched me right on my chin. My face was a bloody mess but now I can say I fought a dragon and lived." Lilith laughed and turned to face him.
"Sure you can," Lilith said kissing his neck, "My dragon hunter." Adrien slid his nose across hers before softly kissing her lips, allowing them to fall into the dance they knew to well.

(Your pov)
     "(Y/N)?" A faint voices echoes around in my head, "(Y/N)! (Y/N)!" Someone shook me out of my thoughts. I blink then look up at the person who pulled my out of my head.
"Dad?"
"(Y/N) are you even paying attention? You'll be chief in a few weeks and I'm trying to tell you what you must do at the ceremony." My father ran his fingers through his hair as he scold me.
"I'm sorry dad. I was just daydreaming about... when I become Chief!" He chuckled at not at my comment.
     "It's okay (Y/N)," Dad patted my head, "Just listen for right now then you can go back to daydreaming, okay?" I look up into his (E/C) eyes and nod. Dad smiles at me before continuing his speech about the chief ceremony. While he talked I rubbed the scar on my wrist and couldn't help but let my mind wander back to dreams that plaques my mind.

The sun starts to set when preparations for the upcoming ceremony were finally finished. I walked peaceful through the village, saying hello to every passerby until I got to my home.
"Before I go to meet Hiccup I should change." I thought to myself. When I opened the door, Lumi ran over to be and wrapped her body around my legs.
     "(Y/N), please don't go." Lumi whimpered into my pants. I shook my head and gently pulled her off my leg.
"Lumi, I'm not..."
"You're not leaving?!" Lumi jumped for joy.
"I'm not leaving yet. I'm going to change then leave," Lumi opens her mouth to object, "And no Lumi there is nothing you can say or do that will persuade me other wise." I placed a hand on her head before scurrying up stair to change. Before I went up stairs I looked back and saw Lumi's distraught face. It hurt me a little but Lumi should know if anything where to happen to me, I would have Silver there to help me or Icebreaker would know something is wrong and come to find me. I poured some water into the bathtub and stripped down while Silver warmed the tub for me.
"Don't worry about me Lumi," I thought as a stepped into the tub, "Nothing is going to happen to me."

(My pov)
(Y/N) walked outside her home and through the town again. The vivid colors of the sky started to dim a little by the time she got to the shore of the IceCaps.
"You ready to go girl?" The blue-(H/C) woman asked her dragon. Silver gave her an excited look and wagged her tail as she ran in circles around her master. (Y/N) laughed at her dragons antics, "Well I'll take that as a yes. Come on let's..."
"(Y/N)! Wait!" Someone yelled from behind her. (Y/N) turned around and saw Noel running towards her.
"Noel, what do you need?" Noel's chest heaved up and down as he caught his breath.
"(Y/N), I just... I wanted to know if... w-where are you going?" Noel stumbled on his words. (Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes stared into his green eyes with confusion.
"I'm going to see Hiccup. Why?"
"You can't go see Hiccup." Noel said quickly. (Y/N) rolled her eyes at her friend then hopped on her dragon. "(Y/N), listen to me!" Noel pulled hr off Silver.
"Did Lumi put you up to this." (Y/N) said with an annoyed voice. Noel avoided her gaze for a moment before he opened his mouth to say something but (Y/N) cut him off. "Nothing is going to happen to me."
"But (Y/N), Lumi showed me what will happen if you go to see Hiccup today. Maybe you should wait to see Hiccup tomorrow..."
"I'm going to see Hiccup today." Noel groaned with frustration then grabbed (Y/N)'a scarred wrist and started to pull her away from the shore line.
"Noel let me go." (Y/N) yelled.
"I can't let you leave the IceCaps today, (Y/N)." The white haired male continued to walk until he is stopped by Silver. (Y/N)'a dragon growled at him barring teeth. (Y/N) took this distinction to rip her wrist out of Noel's grip.
"What wrong with you!" Anger flashed in (Y/N)'s eyes.
       "Nothing! I'm just trying to protect you!" Noel's voice started to rise. (Y/N) through her arms up into the air at Noel's statement.
      "Protect me from what? If you told maybe I would understand."
      "If I told you either you wouldn't believe me or you'll go see Hiccup still."
      "Noel, I don't have time for this." (Y/N) turned to leave but Noel grabbed her wrist again.
       "(Y/N) please." Noel begged. (Y/N) looked at her friend trying to find words to say to him. She didn't understand why he didn't just let her leave. Why was he trying so hard to mad her stay.
"Noel, if you can't give me a proper reason to stay then I don't know what say." Noel's hand let go of (y/N)'s wrist and settle into the crook of her neck.
"(Y/N) you're just going to have to trust me."
"I trust you Noel but I'm still going to see Hiccup."
"Why! You said you trust me. You heard from your sister and me that if you go to that island something bad will happen to you, yet you still insist on leaving." Noel let go of her shoulders and started to pace back and forth.
       "I insist because Hiccup is my boyfriend and you're trying to keep me from him."
       "No I'm not, I just..."
        "Then why don't you let me go?"
        "Because I Love you and I don't want anything to happen to you!" Noel yelled out. (Y/N) stood mystified by his confession. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. Noel ran his finger through his hair before looking back at (Y/N). "I love you so much it hurts sometimes," he whispered, "But I know you're with Hiccup, this glorious dragon rider from Berk. What chance did I have." Noel laughed. Noel took (Y/N)'s hand gently in his and gently stroked it before turning it over to look at the scar that resided on her wrist.
"The day you got this, I promised myself that I would protect you no matter what. I know you made it out with only this scar, but I saw how much pain you in. I never wanted to see you that hurt again. When we were kids you said we would be together forever. You meant as friends but I interpreted it as more than just friends, (Y/N)," Noel took a deep breath, "Now I know you won't accept this confession and I'm not going to force you to but I love and no matter what I do I can't stop. I want you to be happy, (Y/N) and I wouldn't be do this if I didn't think something could happen to you out there. Please, please see Hiccup tomorrow. This is my final plead. After this I don't know what more I can do."
Noel's head dropped down and he intertwined his fingers with (Y/N)'s. he squeezed her hand gently as they stood there together. A light breeze came and wrapped around their hair, pulling it in the it was flowing. (Y/N) stared at her best friend in disbelief.
"Noel, you felt like this for all those year," She thought, "I'm so sorry for not noticing." (Y/N) squeezed his hand and pulled him closer until his head laid upon her breast.
"Noel, I'm sorry for putting through all this. I hurt you in a way no person should be hurt," She whispered to him, "I do appreciate everything you have done for me. You truly are my best friend, but I- I still need to go. I sorry." Noel looked up at her with sad eyes but nodded at her statement. (Y/N) let go of him and quickly got on Silver. Silver flapped her wings and took off to the skies. Noel stared up at (Y/N) receding figure with his glossy green eyes.
"Please come back safe." He whispered as he watched her disappear into the horizon.

(Your pov)
Silver and I neared the Island and for the entire trip I couldn't stop thinking about Noel. Maybe I should have stayed with him and just came the next day. Noel has never lied to me before and he seemed so passionate about me not coming here today.
"I guess it is to late for that now." I thought as Silver landed. I hopped of Silver and started to walk towards our small home. It seemed to silent for my liking. There was no wind to blow the leaves and grass. The bugs that usually chirp at night had suddenly gone silent. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of my foot steps, along with Silver's, stepping across the the fallen leaves from and grass.
       "Something seems really weird around here Silver. Don't you feel it." Silver nods and moves closer to my side. Once we neared the house, I noticed there were no candles lit inside.
      "Maybe Hiccup isn't here yet?" I mumbled to myself. Suddenly Silver is scooped up in a net and whisked up into a tree.
        "Silver!" I yelled and quickly made me way over to her. Arms wrapped around my torso and pull me away from my dragon. A cloth is pressed to my nose as I let out a screamed. Silver frantically tried to claw her way out of the net but to no avail. Muffled yells filled the air until my body started to weaken. My legs give out and the intruder drags me to the ground. My vision started to get hazy and blackness began to consume me. I looked up at the intruder and remembered looking into their angry blue eyes before blacking out.

End of chapter 18. Sorry for everyone who checked the update but couldn't read it. I accidentally tapped publish while I was writing. Now this chapter is finished. The next two chapters will be shorter than the rest so I don't think they will take me very long to make. I started my Senior year of high school so that might put a damper on some updates. Also I'm starting to make the fist chapters to my Edward Elric x Reader, Searching for a Reason, and thinking about starting a couple of Voltron books. Nothing crazy just a Hunk x reader, Shiro x reader, Voltron on shot book and maybe a boyfriend/girlfriend scenario book. Chapter 19 is being worked in right now. Bye!
