Chapter 17 - Perfect timing, Bellamy...
The next day, I woke up feeling perfectly normal, but the sunlight coming from the window was annoying me. Chris wasn't in the room, but Dom was still asleep, covering his face with the covers. I stood up and walked towards the door and opened it slowly trying not to make a single noise, but the door only made a small high-pitched squeak.
"Matt?" Dom asked weakly "is that you, mate?"
"Yeah. How are you feeling?" I walked to the bed and sat on the edge, next to Dom.
"Ugh..." He answered frustrated. "Please, get me something for my head, mate. I'm dying here..." He answered laughing lightly. "And something with chocolate...chocolate helps me feel better when I'm hungover" I laughed lightly and patted his head.
"Suwe, Dommeh" I answered faking a weird accent. "I'll be right back"
He thanked me and I stood up waking towards the door and opened it slowly. In front of our room was what I believed was Jan's room. As I stepped out of the room I found Logan walking outside Jan's room, half asleep, like she had just woken up, with her hair all messed up, wearing her same dark jeans and white tank top, she was barefoot just like me. I thought about a million reasons why she was in Jan's room, and all of them made me feel terribly jealous. I thought Jan was taking care of her, and now I was feeling confused, jealous and a little bit pissed.
"Hey" she greeted me as I looked away from her walking towards the stairs.
"Hey" I answered coldly as we both walked downstairs. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel great, despite the fact that my head is killing me" she answered. "How about you?"
Jealous.
No, Matt. Shut it.
"Meh" I answered with a shrug "I'm not hungover, though"
"Matt, is everything okay? You look grumpy today" she stopped on the last step and looked at me. "Since yesterday you've been acting weird"
I sighed bitterly.
"No, it's nothing..." I answered. "I mean yes...but...never mind...I'll deal with it myself."
She was right though, I've been acting weird with her. Even when Jan was a nice guy and didn't seem to get in Logan's pants whatsoever, I still felt jealous on how close those two were. They were pretty close, since we arrived, a few days ago; she's been with him all day, except for when we danced in the club yesterday. It's selfish of me to think that, since the tour began the two of us were inseparable, and now that I saw her with Jan, it made me feel like he was taking her away from me.
"Fine" she answered coldly. "When you feel like talking, come and find me, then..." Her voice sounded a little bit frustrated and hopped from the last step and walked to the kitchen.
I heard Logan say something in Swedish as she walked inside the kitchen and I followed her to find Jan, Chris and another guy (if I remembered good, his name is Elijah).
"Hey Matt" Jan greeted me. "Want some tea or coffee?"
"Some tea please..." I answered.
We stayed for breakfast, which was pretty awkward for me. I got Dom some medicine for his headache and something with chocolate. We talked about the party, and every time I talked, Logan avoided making eye contact with me. She seemed distant through the whole morning.
After we finished breakfast, we returned to the hotel. Logan went straight to her room, while Dom and I hanged for a while in Chris's room. I was playing my acoustic guitar, distracted; while Chris told Dom everything that had happened to him in the party. At some point Dom ended up dancing with the crowd, and some gay guy started flirting with him. It surprised me how many things Dom lived in that party after we finished playing 'I never'. Well, pretty much everyone was surprised.
