Chapter 7 - In which my time is running out
Three months ago, the psychologist told us because of stress my dad had to stop working and live somewhere quite. I talked to Carson about it, and offered us to move in with him and James. They had a nice house nearby the beach in Wales, and had a pup called Adler. When we told this to Martha, the psychologist, she told us it was a good idea; to move in near the sea (like if Teignmouth wasn't already close to the sea...) and having a dog would help him with stress. James knew this guy named Daniel who was planning in opening a small art gallery, and told him about me and how good I was at organizing things, and showed him some of my work. I would probably work with him, while I look for a college to attend to, and with the money I gain I can help Carson and James paying the bills.
One month after Carson told us to move with him, dad moved to Wales. I still had that event to organize with Joel, and had several jobs as a photographer in different events, so I decided to stay until I had no more jobs to do left, I survived pretty well with my photographer salary, besides I moved in with a friend called Angela, in the same street where Matt lived.
After telling Matt about this, we started hanging out almost every day for a long time. In two months, I developed this huge crush on him, every time I heard his name, I would smile like an idiot. I loved spending time with him, although I would start to feel very homesick after I had to go back to Angie's and hug him goodnight and goodbye.
It happened more than once, I would go over his place and just watch movies, and we both would fall asleep over the couch and wake up around 4 a.m. as I lied over his chest. Other times, we would hold hands, which made my stomach feel all warm and funny. Those two months went by faster that I wanted them to.
I had less than 24 hours here in Teignmouth, before my train left.
I woke up and showered. After I left the room, Angela asked me if I had plans for today.
"I'm sorry, Angie, I will have lunch with Matt" I said drying my hair with a towel; I had died it again ginger.
"Too bad, I wanted to spend it with you" She answered frowning lightly "But you should spend the day with Matt. The both of you deserve it" She said walking closer to me and hugging me. I hugged her back tightly, already missing her.
We both headed to the kitchen and had breakfast.
"So, what are you guys doing today?" She asked.
"We'll have lunch at a Japanese restaurant, then we are going to Dom's place to a party, and he'll take me to the station by the time my train leaves" I answered.
"At what time does your train leave?"
"At 12:30 in the midnight" I said finishing my cereal. She nodded and continued eating hers. "But he'll be here around one thirty..." I mumbled looking at the clock. "We still have four hours left" I smiled at her.
I already had my few things packed. So we left watched a movie and listened to music while we took a million photos. It was already the one o'clock, I still had time to spend with Angie, and I was already feeling homesick for leaving her and Joel, who were my two best friends.
"Will you tell him?" Angie asked me. I knew what she meant, and I avoided making eye contact with her.
"Tell who what?" I asked pretending like I didn't know what she was talking about.
"Don't play dummy!" She said laughing "You know exactly what I mean!" I looked at her confused. "You can't fool me..." She took a picture at me. I laughed lightly. "Will you tell Matt what you feel for him?"
"I don't know. I'm scared..." I admitted looking away. "I'll try, though"
"But please, don't leave it to the last minute!" She begged. I laughed and I promised her I would try to tell him as soon as I could. "Don't give me that bull; I'm sure you'll leave it to the last minute..." She said smiling at me.
