Cassandra took a deep breath. She was sure what she was about to do might be slightly illegal, but she bypassed the security guarding Loki's room anyways.

"Ah, Oracle. Your curiosity has bested you. So what did my oaf of a brother reveal now?" Loki said. Cassandra simply glared at him.

"I will never submit to you." She spat.

"Oh, I'm so hurt." He said, mocking her. She stormed up to the glass cage.

"I have an itch to release you just to slap that smug look off your-"

Loki ran up and banged on the glass, scaring Cassandra back.

"Off my what? As much as you'd like to think you're special because all you can do is see future, you're wrong. You'll be nothing without me. I'm the key to your full potential." He said, his voice becoming more and more calm.

"Full?" Cassandra questioned. Loki nodded slowly. Moving back towards the cage, Cassandra once again fell victim to those piercing blue eyes.

After some small conversation, Tony looked around.

"Where did Munchkin go off to?" He questioned. Everyone went silent.

"Someone get Fury, now!" Natasha said, springing into action. Natasha ran straight to the room and entered quietly. She slowly came upon a chilling sight.

Both Cassandra and Loki sat on their knees, separated by the glass. Loki's hands were pressed against the glass, and Cassandra's hands were slowly reaching up. Nat had a feeling that bad shit would go down if she didn't stop the contact. Before she could interject, Loki spoke.

"We've been expecting you, Natasha." He said, and Cassandra turned around. Her eyes were a pure, glowing white. To be honest, it genuinely scared Natasha to see Cassandra like that.

"Hey...Cass. It's me. You wanna come here, sweetheart?" She said, crouching down.

Cassandra looked at Natasha with a pained expression, opalescent tears rolling down her cheeks.

Loki whispered something to her, causing her to stop crying and turn back.

"Loki, it's time to stop playing your mind games with her." Natasha said, and Loki laughed.

"Mind games? I simply am helping her understand what potential she has." Loki responded, gently touching the other side of the glass like a child at a zoo.

"What did you do to her? And what did you do to Agent Barton?"

"I've simply expanded their minds. Conformed them. It's lovely, don't you think?"

"No. What do you plan to do, after you've won? Once you're king of the mountain, what happens to their minds?"

"For the Oracle, she stays with me. But is this love, Agent Romanoff?"

Natasha scoffed.

"Love is for children. He owes me a debt." She said, simply.

"I'd ask you to tell me, however-"

"She already has. Cut to the chase." Natasha said, growing closer to the answer she wanted.

"What will you do if I spare him?" He asked.

"Not let you out."

"Ah, no. But I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?"

"Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian, or was.

"What is it you want?"

"It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out."

"Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Drakov's daughter? São Paulo? The hospital fire? Barton told me everything. And what about the things you will do? Don't you think Cassandra has already told me what your precious world will do? And even better, what monstrosities your world contains? She's lied to you, she's seen decades ahead. She's seen the fall of each of your agents, of your entire organization. Best of all, she's seen secrets that you wouldn't dare tell anyone. So to answer your question, no. I won't touch Barton. Not until I have him kill you. Slowly. Intimately. In every way he knows you fear! And when he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and he screams, then I'll split his skull! That is my bargain, you mewling quim!" Loki yelled. At the sound of his voice being raised, Cassandra blinked, her mind returning. She stayed put however, and tried to see the following events. Luckily, nothing bad would happen tonight. It was tomorrow that everything would happen. While more words were exchanged between Natasha and Loki, Cassandra slowly but surely slipped out of the room and ran to her room.

"Woah, woah. There you are, kid. I was worried that Reindeer Games had brainwashed you." Tony said, stopping her. Cassandra immediately wrapped her arms around him.

"Tony, I was so scared. He said that I wasn't from here. That I wasn't even human..." Cassandra said, beginning to cry into his shirt.

"I saw, we all saw. They have like, twenty cameras in there. Look, we need you to stay away from Loki's room from now on, okay? He's on some mind twisting rampage and we need you on our side." Tony said, not hugging back.

"Wait, Tony. If I can't go in there, then you need to promise me-"

"No bargains, Munchkin. Off to bed." Tony said, walking the other way. Cassandra sighed, walking in the direction of her room. Before she could enter, Steve ran up to her.

"Cassandra, do you have a minute? I need to know some things." He said. His face was distraught and there was panic in his voice. Cassandra nodded, following his long strides as best as she could.

"Steve, I can't keep up-" She said, before noticing Steve had stopped and was slightly crouched.

"I figured. Hop on." He said, and Cassandra didn't waste a moment in getting a piggyback ride from the super soldier.

As they arrived in their location, Steve made sure the coast was clear before sneaking into the weapons bay. He came up to an opened box, full of guns.

"Cassandra, do you know what they're going to use this for?" Steve asked. Cassandra leaned forward, holding her hands over the crate. Flashes of war, intergalactic at that, were in her mind. The flashes were overwhelming, and she fell back. Steve caught her.

"What did you see?" He asked.

"They're blueprints, how to use the Tesseract to build weapons..." Cassandra muttered. Steve clenched his jaw.

"Just like HYDRA..." He said, helping Cassandra back onto her feet.

"Steve...promise me that tomorrow you'll try and keep the peace. You all have to be sharp minded, and knowing the argument you're going to have, it'll be the perfect distraction for Loki's men to come and reclaim him." Cassandra said. He sighed.

"I'll try as best I can."
