"Loki, I have to tell you something. No matter how you play this, you lose. But there is a chance you can escape if you just-"

Loki stood quickly, then slowly began walking towards Cassandra. Those piercing blue eyes seemed to almost flicker as angry tears began to well up in his eyes.

"You don't get it, do you? This...all of this...was for you. Everyone will pay for splitting us apart!" Loki spat, before turning on his heel and going to finish opening the portal. Cassandra was left stunned, but realized the Avengers were on their way. To further the timeline, Cassandra began inching towards the exit. In almost ten seconds, Loki had seen and grabbed her.

"Not so fast, Oracle. Your friends will want to see you."

Cassandra woke up as battle raged around her. She slowly blinked, looking around. Hadn't she just been with Loki? Sitting up, she watched as Natasha ran to her.

"My god, I found her." Natasha said into her earpiece. She helped Cassandra up, who got up dazed.

"What's...happening?" She asked, stumbling as Natasha rushed to get her somewhere safe and out of sight.

"Loki opened a portal that aliens are coming out of, and we haven't had any luck finding you since you fell off the chariot Loki was riding." Natasha said. Cassandra scowled.

"Loki..." She muttered angrily, her eyes glowing white.

"Cassandra...your eyes..." Natasha muttered.

Cassandra blinked several times, hoping her eyes would return back to normal. As much as she hated the things Loki was doing, she had to stay calm. Losing her cool would only give Loki yet another reason to want to claim her.

"Better?" Cassandra asked, to which Natasha nodded.

"Let's you somewhere safe.." She said, scanning the nearby area. Cassandra peered forward through time, and then shook her head.

"I'll be fine. Go to the battle. Steve will be needing you." Cassandra said, smiling. She then hurried off to get away from the city. There was nothing but death for the future.

"Oracle."

Cassandra turned around to a very scuffed up Loki.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"How do I win? I made a deal for these powers and I can't lose this battle.." He said, looking like a man on the edge. Cassandra frowned.

"Why would I help you?" She asked, scowling.

"I don't want to die, I just wanted him to pay." Loki said through clenched teeth. She could tell he was on the verge of tears.

"This wasn't the way to do it-" Cassandra began.

"I know that!" He yelled, clenching his fists and walking up to her.

"Don't yell at me because you can't deal with loss!" Cassandra yelled back.

"Oh, that's rich coming from someone who doesn't even know what loss feels like! You don't even know your past!"
