Cascadia looked over the battlefield, feeling nothing but dread. She was wearing her usual battle attire, consisting of gold accented black robes and tall gold sandals. As she looked on, she felt a tug from someone. Turning her head, she saw Loki in his full armor. She followed him on past the fighter.

Loki gripped her hands.

"Just as precaution, will you-"

"Loki...I am not royal blood..." Cascadia said. Loki pushed the hood back that shaded her eyes from him.

"Do I care?" He said. Cascadia shook her head, a small smile on her lips.

"Complete me." She started.

"Bind us." He continued.

"Bless our Union. Joined by the gods, bound by flame. Our union is one." They said together, watching as the symbol of Asgard appeared on their hands.

Loki pulled Cascadia close, kissing her briefly.

"Shall we?"

"On your left!" Cascadia called, dodging in and out of attacks. Loki followed her command to the annoyance of Thor.

"Lady Cascadia, do not forget you are here to assist me!" Thor said, fighting off the enemy.

"My apologies! Their leader shall be here in- Loki, duck!" Cassandra called. Her brain felt overwhelmed.

"When is their leader coming?!" Thor asked, running to find the girl.

"Erm, I am not sure. I need to focus."

"Thor! How much longer do we have?" One of the Warriors Three cried.

"Lady Cascadia? Where are you?" Thor yelled, trying to take out enemies while searching.

"I...I do not know, I-" Cascadia was cut off by a shout from Loki before a ripping pain through her stomach. Looking down, she felt lightheaded at the sight of a spear shoved through her body. It was pulled out of her, and she stumbled back and collapsed.

"CASCADIA!"

Loki had slain her attacker swiftly, before rushing to her side.

"Cascadia, we must get you back to Asgard..." Loki said, attempting in vain to stop her bleeding.

"This is...pretty slow..." Cascadia struggled out. Loki glared at her through teary eyes.

"You will not die." He said, racking through his brain for any spell that might help.

"Loki." Cascadia said, grabbing his trembling hands. "I will not be gone for very long. Soon, we will be reunited...but not in Valhalla. It is a place greater than Valhalla, where you and I can love forever..."

Loki watched as she trailed off, her eyelids heavy. He touched her cheek gently as her chest rose and fell one last time.

Moments later, her being began to fall into gold flakes; a lavish decomposition. Loki gripped onto her empty robes, clenching his teeth.

"Brother!" He screamed, standing and running to find who he blamed for her death.

"Loki, before you-"

"You brought her here! How could you?!" Loki said, wielding his spear in a fighting position.

"Loki, let us vanquish the enemy before you make any rash attacks!" Thor said, calling Mjolner to his hand.
