"Guh!" Cassandra said, sitting up quickly. What the hell? That had to have been a dream.

"You sure do talk in your sleep a lot, Cass."

Cassandra jumped a bit at the voice, but relaxed upon seeing Steve.

"Do I? Did you bring me back from Sami's ?" She asked.

"Yeah, about 20 minutes ago." Steve responded, bringing over a bag of chips.

"Oh shit, I'm gonna be late." She muttered, hopping off the couch.

"Uh...for what exactly?"

Cassandra quickly explained that she had seen. Steve nodded.

"Well, let's get to Central Park then."

"Who were you speaking to?"

Loki threw a glare to his brother.

"No one you should concern yourself with." Loki snapped.

"Don't get angry at me for what you did there. Do you realize the severity of the situation you have put yourself in? Your trial starts today, and your fate will be decided soon." Thor said, turning away from the raven haired god.

"There is only one who knows my fate, and you have killed her and taken me from her." Loki growled, sitting down.

"And I am the one who will save your fate. I did not want to see you simply locked away for life, and so Father-"

"Your Father."

"...my Father has decided someone will argue either for or against you. He does not know yet who it is."

Loki rolled his eyes.

"As if that makes this any better-"

"I am trying, brother! I would never want to see you in a cell, caged like some animal for crimes. I am the only hope you have." Thor said, raising his voice. Loki glanced at him, then flicked his eyes back down.

"I don't need your pity."

"They will be here whether you like it or not." Thor said, marching right back out of the cold dungeons with Loki watching after him.

"Are you sure about this, Cass?"

Cassandra let out an exasperated sigh, shoving her hands into her hoodie.

"I've never been wrong before. Why would we be in the middle of Central Park with a suitcase otherwise?" Cassandra said, checking the time on her phone.

"Hm. I didn't quite think about that part." Steve said to himself, causing Cass to shake her head and smile. When she opened her mouth to speak, the two were blown back from a large, glowing blue light that burned interlocking shapes into the ground.

"Is this really how he shows up places?" Steve yelled over the noise of the inter-realm portal. Cassandra nodded.

"It's just a little flashy!" She yelled back.

In the blink of an eye, the light was gone and Thor was there.

"Hello, Lady Cassandra. Ah, and you, Captain." Thor reached over and pulled the two up with one arm each. "I presume you know why I am here?"
