Dahlia woke slowly, the aches from the night before hitting her like a wall of sand. She whimpered softly as she tried to move her legs, the pain between them was indescribable. She tried to sit up but found herself pinned to the mattress by a strong arm, another was looped around her waist holding her close to the sleeping being beside her. Dahlia turned to see Alexander sleeping soundly, holding her against himself. She smiled softly, but then he shifted her closer to him and she gasped softly. Something bumped her through his sweatpants. A blush filled her cheeks and she tried to worm out of his arms but he murmured something unintelligible, pulling her closer and burying his face in the crook of her neck. She smiled gently and turned so she was facing him and whispered
"Lexy, Lex...I gotta get up" she giggled softly. He was a rock, so she carefully began prying his arms loose, and slid down his body, trying to escape. Her movement was stopped by Lex's rumbling voice
"What do you think you're doing little one?" He smirked sleepily. She blushed and looked away
"Just tryna get up and shower" she murmured. Alexander smiled, pulling her back up close to him
"You took a bath just last night Peach" Lex rumbled, his voice rough with sleep. Dahlia looked up at him, her brow furrowed an her eyes still sleep frosted.
"I did? I don't remember much. After the bad things happened I remember some driving and eating here but not much else" she murmured, yawning sweetly. Alexander stilled, looking down at her, and spoke softly.
"You don't remember...anything?" she nodded and he sighed gently.
"Well we got here and I helped you take a bath and you had a panic attack so I helped you with that and we..you let me touch you, and...kiss you a bit." he muttered, half ashamed. Dahlia nodded, and moved again. This time Lex let her stand, but when her feet hit the ground she trembled, nearly falling from the pain that was her everything. He was standing in a flash, holding her from behind to make sure she didn't fall. Dahlia sighed.
"Are you mad at me Peach?" he murmured, burying his face in her hair. She let her expression shift and smiled sweetly.
"Course not Lexy, just a little confused. Wanna tell me what we're doing at a hotel together?" she asked, looking behind her and up at him. He sighed and sat back on the bed, lifting her easily into his lap. She curled up, slipping half into little space relatively quickly.
"I rescued you." he murmured against her back, where his head was resting. She nodded.
"I got accepted into a wonderful job with a provided apartment and killer pay in Seattle, you can come with me, if you want." he said, she turned to him excitedly. Her face was lit like a Christmas tree. Lex relaxed and hugged her tightly.
"So you'll come with me?" he asked with hushed hope. She stared at him him for a moment then her face split into a grin and she nodded excitedly. Dahlia threw her arms over his shoulders and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you Lexy" she whispered with near tears happiness. He nodded and squeezed her tighter. She sighed and relaxed against him. He smiled to himself and held her close to his chest.
"So what are we doing today?" she asked quietly. He smiled.
"Long drive, Peach."
