Gerald rushes over to me and crouches down. "Lily, babe, are you okay?" I shake my head "no", tears still streaming down my face. "Come here, come on. Let's get you up off the floor." He helps me up off the ground before pulling me against his chest and holding me. I cry harder. "It's okay, baby. I've got you. You're okay." He holds me for a while, before I eventually pull away wiping the tears off my face. "I'm sorry..." I pause, "I'm such a mess." Gerald pushes my hair back out of my face, looking down at me. "It's okay. I promise." I tilt my head up and kiss him, and he kisses me back, deeply. I pull away a few seconds later, and he grabs my hand. "Come on, let's get you out of here." "But wait. You need to tell Alex."
We walk out back into the main living room on the hunt for Alex. I spot him a few moments later and point him out to Gerald. We walk over to Alex who's chatting it up with his group of friends. "Aye, Alex" Gerald says grabbing his attention. "Yo, what's up?" Alex turns around, and looks at Gerald and then notices me. "Lily? Are you alright? Have you been crying?" "Yeah.. I just.." Gerald stops me, chiming in, "She's had a rough night, some guy fucked with her. I was there to stop it, but still." Anger flashes over Alex's face. "Where the fuck's he at?" "He's been taken care of, it's good now, man." Alex looks at Gerald and nods, and then back at me. "Are you good, Lily? You need me to take you home?" "No, I'm okay. Gerald and I are gonna get out of here and grab something to eat."
Alex brings me in for a hug, "Alright, stay safe. Be careful." I smile, pulling out of the hug. "And you," He eyes Gerald,"take care of her, G. If I hear you pulled some type of shit with her..." He pauses, crossing his arms across his chest. "I'll fuck you up." "You've got my word, man." Gerald responds, nodding. Alex laughs, pulling him into a "bro" hug. "I trust you, G. Alright, you two stay safe."
