FREYA WASN'T SO SURE IF following and being alone with Sirius in the same Charms room where all her problems have even started in the first place was a good idea. It was, yet again, one of those moments where her brain wasn't fully functioning.

The atmosphere was awkward. Especially when Sirius closed the door and they were left completely alone and guarded from the world. Freya chewed the inside of her cheek, turning around and looking at Sirius. He was just standing there and looking at her with eyes full of unknown emotion.

His mouth opened, as if attempting to speak, but then closed it again. Freya rose an eyebrow in question and crossed her arms in the most friendliest way possible. "So?"

Sirius, again, opened his mouth but nothing came out. There was silence and so it caught Freya off guard when Sirius groaned so suddenly. He ran his fingertips through his hair in frustration as he did so. "Why is it always so hard to talk to you?"

Freya didn't know whether to be amused or offended. "Excuse you, you're the one who always pulls me here," said Freya. "On that note, why always in the Charms homeroom?"

Sirius looked incredulously at Freya, as if asking why it was relevant. Freya rose her eyebrows at him. And after a few seconds of staring, the two ended up bursting laughing.

And through that laugh, they felt the connection they've always had. It wasn't romantic — it took up to that very moment for them to realize that they never felt romantically towards one another. It was a certain connection that brought out the better them. Indirectly, both had great impacts in each others lives. And having been great roles in each other's development and maturity was what they adored about each other — and they just realized that. It was that connection. The feeling of being so important.

As the laughter died down, the two ended up smiling and staring solemnly at each other. And in a happy yet sad tone, Sirius said, "I really am sorry about you and James, Freya."

Freya wanted to say he had nothing to be sorry for since her and James weren’t even really together. Freya didn't know whether the deal was off — or what the heck was even going to on between her and James by that point — but the idea of Sirius being genuinely sorry about something was a first. Freya felt proud to have instilled such a remembrance within Sirius. "It's alright. I didn't pull back. It's partially my fault."

"Still, I was the one who kissed you," Sirius insisted. "It's just that," he sighed, removing eye contact, before continuing, "I became greedy. I have lost so much in my life that when I lost you — and it felt nothing like the way me leaving girls is supposed to feel — and then you replaced me with someone who is like a brother, it crushed me. Seeing how you adored James so much reminded me of my family. It was like seeing my parents love Regulus the way they never did to me. That feeling of being replaced, of suddenly being not good enough. It bugged me so much, Freya, you have no idea."

Freya stared at Sirius in awe. The man who everyone thought was invincible, and always full of confidence, and always laughing was there in front of her venting his emotions and looking so vulnerable. With a sad smile, Freya stepped towards the boy and then engulfed him in a hug.

Sirius was caught of guard as Freya collided their bodies, her arms wrapping around Sirius' waist. And as she snuggled her cheek onto her chest, Sirius found himself smiling and wrapping her arms around her, hugging the brunette girl back.

Freya was important to Sirius. And so was he to her. They knew they would always be friends and just friends — but that was okay. They were meant to be friends.

"I'm sorry, Frey," Sirius whispered onto her shoulders.

"I'm sorry, too, Sirius," Freya answered through his chest.

Sirius tightened his grip, savouring Freya to what he knows of as the last time he'll be able to hold her. And with a contented smile he let her go. "There's only one thing left to do now."

Freya couldn't help but match Sirius' grin — his smiles as influential as it always was — and said, "And what is that?"

        "Go get your man."

Freya grinned wider. James was hers. And she had to make things right. Even if it was all fake. Sirius stood there staring at her proudly and with all the support she had ever felt from him. And it made her happy.

"And also, we gotta go 'cause Transfiguration started like five minutes ago," Sirius added. The two shared a laughter before running out the Charms room and to their class hoping McGonagall wouldn't give them detention.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

I wanted to justify why Sirius never
commits and always just 'plays' with
girls. I believe everyone has reasons.
Hopefully, I made it clear here.

I also didn't want to make a sappy
chapter since the previousand the
futureones will be. Sirius is a fun
character and always has weird
ways expressing his feelingsas
seen in the previous chapters.

I hope I made their 'make-up' alright.
