↳ 37: DEPARTURE

IT WAS LIKE AN EVACUATION scene. The students of Hogwarts all years and houses were hauling their luggage through the bridge and to the station at Hogsmeade. Freya was walking with Lily, Marlene, and Mary through the crowds, trunks in hand and trying to talk over the noise.

          "Where is Alice?" asked Freya, her head sweeping around to look for the pixie haired girl.

          "Look by the station," Mary said mischievously and all three pairs of eyes followed suit. Smirks and hoots immediately fell between the friends as they saw their friend Alice whispering and clearly flirting with Frank Longbottom.

         "Well it's about time, ain't it?" said Lily to which was answered by nods and giggles by the girls.

          "Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Fortescue eye fucking Frank?" the voice of Sirius Black spoke, signalling his arrival. The rest of the Marauders, as expected, arrived as well — the four of them halting where the girls now stood near the station.

          "Brilliant choice of words, Sirius," said Freya, rolling her eyes.

          Sirius only shrugged innocently at his new found, semi-somehow, girl, best friend. He then looked back at the direction of Alice and Frank and cupped his hands around his mouth before yelling, "Get it, Frank!"

          The pair looked at the source of the voice where Sirius was grinning like a child with James and Peter, Remus and Freya rolling their eyes though still evidently amused, and Lily, Marlene, and Mary all smirking and wiggling their eyebrows.

          Frank blushed and chuckled, shaking his head and scratching the back of his neck. Alice blushed harder and gave Sirius the middle finger.

          "Aww, she loves me," said Sirius in a coo manner.

          The group shared a laughter. All this while, James was trying to catch Freya's eye. He wanted to see if they were still 'okay' because he was pretty sure she knew he tried to kiss her. Just as things were forgiven, James, stupid, he thought.

          But the girl made sure to look everywhere but at him. And since Freya was standing next to Lily, it would've been confusing on who he was actually staring at.

          Remus rolled his eyes at Sirius and said, "Come on, let's settle in the train," he grabbed Sirius' elbow and pushed him forwards. James and Peter followed on suit — James reluctantly sparing Freya one last glance — as Remus looked back at the girls, "See you inside."

          The four nodded and the Marauders headed to the train. Of course, Sirius mocked Alice and Frank as they passed them and he got a good slap on the top of his head by Alice. She needs to be given props, Sirius is one tall guy.

          "Let's go, I think Alice would be having her own compartment for today's ride," Mary said, making the girls giggle. The three nodded and they were off to the train.

          They found a compartment easily enough and once they've settled their things, the four sat and waited for the train to move. Almost immediately, Lily and Mary took out books that they'd probably read the whole train ride. Marlene immediately took out a Quidditch pamphlet and Freya knew she was going to be awfully bored.
